Nebula's PoV:

I turned my head and silently prayed that my eyes were playing tricks on me. I heard the door open, but it sounded like I was underwater. I hugged my mom before going inside. I could see people talking, but no words came out. I'm just seeing things, there weren't actually wolves in the woods.

For the next 2 hours my mind wandered to what I saw. Why would there be wolves in the woods? Like yea I get they live there and all, but I've never seen them this close. Especially wild ones. And they didn't attack us, they just stood there and watched us, watched me. It just didn't make sense. To make things worse, my sister is picking me up, I might as well just take my chances and walk home.

So here I sit, on the porch, of my friends house, because something happened to her aunt and they had to leave right away. I was told she would be here in "5 minutes" but that was 20 minutes ago. Isn't this illegal? Leaving a 5 year old girl on your porch unattended? I don't even know at this point. So here I sit, on my friends porch, in the rain, waiting for my sister. Wonderful, just wonderful.

 Tray's PoV:

I whine. "Do we have to do this Daniel? She's so young." Ignored again. Great. I steal a glance at the little girl across the street. She can't be more than 5, she's in a Cinderella dress up dress for Christ's sakes! We can't do this to her, but yet here we are. Curse the ranks.

I snap from my trance hearing whining, I look over and see my mate, Brandy. I can tell she doesn't want to do this, only Anna and Daniel, the two alpha's in our pack. This is all their idea, me and Brandy being their betas, we didn't have a choice. It was either help or be killed. I wasn't going to risk my mates life, nor that of our unborn child. It just wasn't in the cards, so here we are. About to take a little innocent child from the only life she's ever known.

I shake my head to clear the daze and trot over to Brandy in my wolf form, who is also in her wolf form. I gently nuzzle her side to let her know I'm beside her. I purr quietly, rubbing my muzzle on hers in an attempt to calm her down.

Daniel gives us the signal to shift to human form, I shift and wait beside Brandy, who takes a little longer than the rest of us. " Now, you two, get the bag from the van. Now." He snaps at us, barking orders as per usual. I look over feeling Brandy startle. I gently take her hand in mine, interlacing our fingers and gently pull her along to the van.

"Tray, we can't do this." She stops and I stop with her. I look back and tears run  down her face, covering the ones that had fallen previously. "Bran.." I sigh pulling her into my arms and hold her close to me. She cries into my chest. "Tray, that girl is innocent . She didn't do anything to anyone. She was at a birthday party! They were dressed up as Disney princesses. Tray, this isn't right, nothing about this is right." She looks up at me, pleading, begging me to fix this mess, and save this girl. "Bran...you know if I could I would do everything in my power to fix this and save that girl. But if we disobey them, we die. All three of us." I gently place my hand on her stomach. I smile when she places a hand over mine. "I know, it just isn't fair." "I know love, I hate that you have to do this. I hate we have to do this." I smile sadly down at her and go the rest of the way and get the bag from the back of the van, then holding Brandy's hand in mine, walk back to satan and his queen of hell.

I drop the bag on the ground, making them both jump. They walk over instantly, like moths to a a lamp. I gently pull Brandy away as they take things, scary looking things, from the bag and put them on the ground. I sigh looking up, the little girl had crossed the street. I tear my eyes away from the girl, knowing what was about to happen ."Tray..." Brandy's grip on my arm tightened, her voice barely above a whisper.  I already knew before I looked, Anna was back in her wolf, and Daniel, holding the dart gun, both stalking towards the girl, who is peering up the road. I pull Brandy close as I hear the girl scream. Then silence. Just silence.
