EIGHT

CHAPTER EIGHT
"ARE WE GOING TO THE CASTLE?"

"Yes, we are going to the castle for a special delivery of herbs." Tanaka says, picking up Jol. "And I thought, why not bring my darling daughter with me?"

Jol giggles in her mother's arms.

"Yay, I can see Princess again!"

It's been a week since Jol had last seen Elizabeth. After the whole ordeal, Tanaka told her that she couldn't use her new found power for awhile since she snuck out of the garden and left for three days. Even though Jol was back in her possession, she wanted her to learn that their are consequences to your actions. Of course, Jol hated this idea and gave her two cents by throwing a temper-tantrum. Though, she calmed down shortly after when a bag of cookies the cooks prepared for her when it was time for to leave.

During the week in the castle, Elizabeth was in a funk. She missed Jol terribly. Not even her sisters or her other friends could cheer her up because they  missed the little ball of sunshine too. So imagine to Elizabeth's surprise when Margaret jogged into her room and told her the good news.

"Really? Jol is coming?" Elizabeth asked, bouncing in up and down with excitement.

Margaret nods, a soft smile on her face.

"Yes, Father told me while we were playing in the garden." Margaret could see the life shine in Elizabeth's eyes. "Yay, Jol is coming!" she cheers, hopping off her bed and running to her closet. Margaret follows her hearing a bundle of childlike grunts and huffs. Seconds later, Elizabeth runs out of her closet in a blue dress messily tied together with white flats. "Tada!"

Margaret giggles seeing her sister, she's never seen Elizabeth this worked up over someone, not even the boys around her. So it was refreshing at the least to see something like this happen. Elizabeth jumps up and down excitedly pumping her fists. "When is Jol coming?" she asks.

Margaret bends down to Elizabeth's height and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "I don't know, Father didn't say-"

"Princess Elizabeth!" Just then a knight opened the door and bows before the tiny child. When he lifts his head, he looks up to see Margaret standing directly in front of Elizabeth, covering some parts of her undressed body. He blushes in embarrassment and stands upright. "I-I apo-apologize, I didn't know Princess Margaret was in here as well."

"It's quite alright." Margaret says, "What is it that you wanted to say?"

"Um, the King wanted me-me to inform you that Tanaka has come with her daughter, Jol!"
