I had a part time job after school at Fatburger. I had just finished taking an order, when I heard
"Hey sweet thang." I rolled my eyes. It was Tyree Caryon, he was 2 years younger than me and has had the biggest crush on me for years. It was cute when he was younger but now it was irritating.
"Boy don't start with me I'm at work." I said
"I just wanted to tell you how cute you look in your uniform." He said with a smirk as I glared at him then he was shoved to the back
"Shut up boy." Tyree's older brother and my friend Andre Young said to him
"Hey Dre how you been? I ain't seen you around the way in a minute." I asked
"That's cause Auntie Verna kicked him out!" A guy with big square glasses exclaimed making me laugh
"Shut the fuck up!" Dre snapped at him then turned back to me
"I'm good Niecy, you?"
"Good, how's Lavetta and Tyra?" I asked referring to his girlfriend and daughter
"We're all good a little cramped right now, but good."
"Alright ya'll ready to order?"
"Yeah once Dre stop being rude." The guy with the glasses said then elbowed Dre, who looked like he wanted to punch him.
"Shanice this is my ignorant ass cousin, Jinx." He said pointing to the guy with glasses
"And this is my boy Ice Cube." He said pointing to this really fine guy, who was light skinned with a Jeri curl, wearing a Raider snap back. We made eye contact and I felt my face get hot, I suddenly felt very self conscious. Wishing I was wearing something other than my uniform. As someone grabbed my hand
"It's very nice to meet you." Jinx said kissing my hand and Tyree shoved him
"Back up off my women." He said and they started arguing, which turned into play fighting. I could tell that Dre was fed up with them and went to break it up. Ice Cube just leaned against the counter shaking his head
"Sorry about them." He said to me
"It's cool they're harmless compared to some of the crazy fools that come through." I told him and he looked me up and down and I started feeling self conscious again. I looked away until Dre and the other guys came up I took their order. They got their food and right before they left Ice Cube handed me a piece of paper I looked at him he smirked then left.
"Niecy tell E I said what's up." Dre said then left
"Girl who was that with Dre?" My friend and co-worker Tianna asked me
"Which one?"
"The one with the hat." She said referring to Ice Cube
"Just one of his friends." I didn't like that she was asking about him.
"Oh I see how it is."
"What are you talking about?" I asked
"You want him for yourself,"
"Tianna I just met him."
"And now you want that D! It's ok I'll let you have this one."
"Oh thank you, how ever will I repay you?" I said sarcastically
"Besides I really want to see what's up with Dre."
"He has a live in girlfriend and baby, that's whats up with him." I said and she scoffed
"Girl please I've seen him a Doo-To, and when he's there he's very much single."
"That doesn't mean you need to get into the middle of that." I said and she rolled her eyes
"Fine I'll leave Dre alone."
"Good."
"But you gotta hook me up with that fine cousin of yours."
"Hell no." I said instantly there was no way I was hooking her up with Eazy.
"Why?" She whined
"1 you're my friend, 2 that's my cousin, 3 it's nasty, and 4 Eazy is a hoe and you'll only get your feelings hurt."
"Please the way I put it down he'll come back trust."
"Ew......Look T I'm being real with you it's not gonna work out."
"Oh my God Shanice I'm not trying to get married! I just looking for a good time, beside I'm getting sick of tired ass Winston."

"Look just introduce me to your cousin I'll handle it from there." She said and I rolled my eyes
"Fine, look we're going to Doo-To on Friday. You can meet us there about 10."
"You're the best friend ever!" She said hugging me
i just shrugged her of I knew this was gonna end badly. I tuned her out as she began to talk about what she was gonna wear. I spent the rest of our shift ignoring her as she jus kept talking about Friday.
When I got home I started changing, when I emptied my pockets I found the piece of paper Ice Cube gave me earlier '555-5048 Call me'. I could help the smile spread across my face, I sat on my bed debating if I should call him or not. I was about to pick up the phone I was about to call. When my auntie called me. So I put the number away, deciding to call him later.
