Ruby
"I can't believe you kept this a secret from me Ruby! Me! Your big sister!" Yang said angrily. Every since she found out I am the Red Reaper bodyguard, she's bee a bit pissed.
"Yang, I didn't tell you because I knew for a fact that you would react this way. I'm all grown up, I can take care of myself." I said and glanced over at her as we kept walking with Weiss back to my house.
"I for one still can't believe that the mysterious Red Reaper bodyguard is a girl younger than me." Weiss said which caused me to growl under my breath. I was still wearing my hood and mask since I was technically on duty.
"And what exactly does that mean Weiss?" I asked, looking over my shoulder at her with a slight glare.
"Oh nothing. It's just that from what I've read in articles and from what I've seen on the news, everyone believes that you're a guy." She replied and I nodded, sighing softly.
"I don't know why they all assume that, but I don't really care because it makes it harder for people to track me down." I said, grinning under my mask.
"Wow sis, I had no idea you were capable of so much....now I'm wondering how many other secrets you're keeping from me." Yang said and patted me on the back.
"Just the one secret, besides Yang I've been doing this for two years at this point. I'm not defenseless." I said, looking over at Yang.
Yang nodded and we all kept walking down the streets of Vale. Eventually we decided to stop and get a late breakfast. Weiss had apparently skipped breakfast and so had Yang. I had already eaten so I just sat next to Weiss, keeping an eye on her and our surroundings to make sure no one was trying anything funny.
"So Rub...I mean, Reaper....what made you decide to become a bodyguard anyway?" Weiss asked after she and Yang had ordered their food.
"Well....I guess I just decided to do it because I had nothing else to do. I just needed a change from my normal life so I went out looking for a job. Someone needed a bodyguard so I took them up on their offer, turned out I was pretty good at keeping people alive." I said, looking over at her.
Weiss nodded and smiled softly "Well, at least I can be assured that nothing bad will happen to me while you're around."
Yang then kicked my leg lightly with her foot and I groaned and looked over at her "Yes Yang?"
"I know you've been doing this for two years now, but I still worry about you sis. What if you encounter more then one person who are trying to take out the person you're guarding." She asked, causing Weiss to gain a bit of a worried look.
I sighed and looked down at my hands and then back up at Yang "I'll handle it like I have all the other jobs I have completed. I don't go down as easily as you'd think Yang."
Yang nodded and rubbed her arm, still seemingly worried about me "I know that, but I promised Dad I'd look after you while we were in Vale. So you can't really blame me for being worried."
I smiled a bit under my mask and then nodded "I know you're worried about me sis, and I thank you for that." I said and then looked over at Weiss, who seemed to be staring at me the whole time. She then quickly turned her head to look out the window.
Yang smirked slightly and giggled a bit "So Weiss, how are you liking Vale so far?" She asked as their food arrived and they began to eat and talk while I sat their and kept watch of our surroundings.
Weiss turned and looked over at Yang "So far it's been pretty good, besides the fact that my father is forcing me to stay with Ruby."
"Yeah I forgot to ask, why'd he want you to stay with me anyway?" I asked, looking over at Weiss while ignoring the fact that she basically said being forced to live with me is bad.
Weiss rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders "I'm not entirely sure myself. All I do now is he really enjoys making my life miserable."
"Well hey, it can't be all bad living with my little sis. It'll be harder for any potential attackers to find you after all." Yang chimed in, smiling brightly.
This got Weiss to smile a bit and she nodded slightly "Yeah, I guess you're right about that Yang." She said, taking another bite of her food.
I sighed softly and took out my scroll and started looking through my messages and email's while waiting for these two to finish eating. It seemed like nothing was going to happen here. After about fifteen more minutes, Weiss and Yang finished their breakfast.
"Ahhh! That's was delicious!" Yang said with a satisfied smile on her face.
"I must admit, that was very delicious....I guess I'll pay." Weiss said and started to reach for her bag but I stopped her.
"Don't worry Weiss, I got this one." I said and laid the money for the food and a tip on the table next to the check and stood up "Alright, lets head back to my place and get you settled in Weiss."
Weiss nodded and she and Yang stood up and we all left the restaurant. "So sis, how much money do you typically make for this job?"
I looked over my shoulder at Yang "In all honesty, it all depends on who hires me. But normally it's around eight-hundred to a thousand Lien per job."
Yang's jaw dropped slightly but she then shook her head and looked at me a bit surprised. "What?! That's quiet a lot sis!"
I laughed softly to myself and glanced at the ground and noticed what appeared to be the shadow of a person from the rooftop. "We're being followed, Weiss stay behind me."
"Wait, how can you tell we're being...." She started to ask but was cut off as a group of 40 guys surrounded us. People on the street noticed and watched in confusion.
"Well well, it's seems our intel was right." One of the guys said, his voice very deep and raspy. "It's seems we have a Schnee here fellas! Lets get her!"
"Ms. Schnee is under my protection. If you wanna get to her." I said and pulled my scythe out, transforming it to it's scythe form. "You'll have to go through me."
"Oh no! I'm sooo scared of this one bodyguard." He said sarcastically and then laughed. "Please, look around you. You're out number 40:1!"
I grinned underneath my mask when he said this. "Then it is an even fight." I said and slammed the back of my scythe into one of the muggers head, knocking him out cold. I then slammed the tip of the blade into the ground and used the handle for leverage as I spun around rapidly and kicked five guys away before I flipped up with the scythe and landed behind them.
The guy from before, I assumed now was the leader of the this group, looked at me with anger and then pointed at me. "Get him!" He said and they all rushed at me.
"A foolish mistake." I said and waited for them to get close and then spun my scythe around and sent them all flying back, hitting different objects around the area like walls, fire hydrants and some even laying on the ground knocked out. "Idiots."
"Why you!!!" He said and charged at me. He threw a barrage of punches which I easily dogged and then ducked down and spun my legs around and knocked him off his feet. I put my foot against his chest and pinned him there.
"Stay down and give up if you know what's good for you." I said and he groaned, laying his head against the concrete as I heard sirens approaching. "Lets keep moving Weiss and Yang." I said and looked up at them. Both of their eyes were wide but they quickly shook their heads and quickly got next to me and we all started to walk towards my house again.
"Wow...I guess my father made a good choice of who to hire as a bodyguard." Weiss said, looking over at me.
"You can ask as many questions as you want later, for now we need to get back to my place where it's safe." I said, knowing Yang probably had many questions. I let out a soft sigh as I looked up at the sky and began to think to myself about how eventful this assignment has been so far. 'I wonder if this will be my most challenging job yet...' I thought to myself, know what risks comes with protecting someone as important as Weiss.
