Weiss

After about another five or ten minutes, we finally arrived at Ruby's house and I had to admit, it looked quiet nice. I waited patiently while Ruby, AKA the Red Reaper, unlocked and opened the front door and walked inside. "Come on in Weiss, you'll be safe here." She said, her voice still sounding deeper due to the mask.

"Right, I'm safe here." I told myself then walked inside and smiled softly. "Wow, this is quite the place you have here Ruby." I complimented and she nodded slightly.

"Thank you, make yourself at home since you'll be living here for awhile." Ruby said, then took her hood and mask off and flipped her hair back and sighed softly.

I gasped slightly and felt my face heat up for some reason but I couldn't quite tell why. I had no idea Ruby would look so cute underneath that mask and hood, but I guess you never should judge a book by its cover. "So, what's the plan here sis?" Ruby's sister Yang asked as she sat down on the couch in what I assumed was the living room.

"Yang, what the heck are you talking about? What plan?" Ruby asked as she set her things down next to the couch and motioned me to take a seat. "Come on Weiss, sit down. You've had a long day."

"My day hasn't been THAT long." I said but sighed and walked over and sat down in the chair next to the couch. "But you are right, it has been a rather exhausting day."

"Getting almost attacked by 40 random thugs will do that to you." She said causally, as if the attack didn't even faze her at all. It seems like Ruby doesn't really feel anything, I wonder why.

"Anyways, back to what you ask Yang. What do you mean by, what's the plan?" Ruby asked and looked over at her sister.

"I mean, what's the plan for Weiss here?" Yang asked, leaning her head against the arm of the couch as she met her sisters gaze.

"The plan is to keep Weiss safe, as it is with anyone I'm hired to protect." Ruby replied and leaned her head back and looked up at the ceiling and sighed.

"I don't mean to sound rude, but do you happen to have a spare bedroom that I can sleep in? I don't really feel like sleeping on the couch." I said and rubbed my arm nervously.

Ruby glanced at me with what seemed to be a slight glare then mumbled something under her breath in a deep tone. "Crap...Fine, you can take my room, but no going through my stuff." She said barely above a whisper and my eyes went wide.

"Woah, I couldn't possibly take you room Ruby. This is your house after all." I said and all she did was hold her hand up.

"Look, I haven't planned on anyone having to live with me anytime soon, so the house only has one bedroom. So, you either take my room or sleep on the couch, and I don't mind sleeping on the couch during your stay." She said and I heard a slight snicker coming out of Yang.

"Um, why exactly are you snickering about this?" I asked and she collected her composure then looked at me.

"Well, I was thinking you two could just sleep in the same bed." Yang said, clearly trying not to laugh.

Ruby punched Yang in the shoulder and glared at her. "What did I tell you about jokes like that Yang? Knock it off! You know what those remind me of."

Yang looked down slightly and rubbed her shoulder where Ruby had hit her. "Sorry sis, I was just trying to cheer you up is all."

I watch as Ruby sighed and hugged her sister with a soft smile. Her smile was so nice and pretty as she looked into Yang's eyes. "I know you were, but there's a time and a place."

Yang nodded and hugged her sister back and then there was a minute or two of silence before I stretched my arms up and sighed. "Ruby, do you think you could show me the way to your room?" I asked and she glanced at me. "I just want to be familiar with the place I'll be living in for awhile."

Ruby nodded and stood up then grabbed my things. "Oh no, it's okay. I can get those myself." I said but Ruby moved them away from me and I tilted my head slightly in confusion.

"I insist Weiss, you're my guest here, I'll carry your bags and show you around. The house isn't that big, so I imagine you'll learn your way around here pretty quickly." She said and I nodded. "Yang, you should head home, I'll call you later."

"You promise this time sis?" Yang asked as she stood up, walking towards the door.

Ruby let out a soft sigh then nodded and shot her sister a quick smile. "Yes, I promise I'll call."

Yang smiled and nodded then unlocked the door, opened it and left, shutting it behind her and I looked over at Ruby. "Well, your sister seems nice."

"Sometimes that's not the case for people she's angry at." Ruby said, dropping her smile and looking forward as she began to walk down the halls of the house.

I raised my eyebrow slightly but shrugged her comment off and followed behind her. As she led me to her room, I began to notice that she had a lot of pictures of family, but she didn't seem to have any of friends. "Hey Ruby?"

Ruby paused by a door, which I'm assuming is her room, and looked back at me. "Yes Weiss, what is it?"

"I've noticed you don't have any pictures with friends. You do have friends right?" I asked and she simply sighed softly and opened the door and she mumbled under her breath again.

"No, I don't have any friends and let'o leave it at that." Ruby said, walking into the room and I walked closer to the door and looked inside.

It was a nice room with a bed, a night stand, mirror and a bathroom. Nothing too fancy, just what was needed. Ruby walked by me as she exited the room after putting my stuff down and glanced at me. "Make yourself comfy, I'll be in the living room if you need anything." She said and I nodded, walking into the room and I sat down on the bed and sighed softly.

"Great, I feel like I may have just poked a hornet's nest with that question. Ruby's hiding something, and I'll bet it's something she doesn't want to talk about for good reason." I said quietly to myself, resting my chin on the palms of my hands. I soon laid back on the bed and glanced out the window, seeing a few people walk by but other then that it was quiet. "At least it's not very noisy around here."

I stood up slowly and stretched my arms then walked back out to the living room and saw Ruby laying down on the couch. She seemed to be asleep since her eyes were closed so I decided to remain quiet and started slowly walking towards the door. I reached out and grabbed the door knob and twisted it slightly.

"I hope you have years of combat training and self defense if you plan on going out on your own, Schnee." Ruby said, causing me to freeze in place. "Because if not, just tell me where you want to go and I'd be happy to show you around."

"Oh, I'm sorry I tried to sneak out, but I thought you were asleep and I wanted to see the town." I said softly, turning around slowly as I looked over at her. She was looking at me upside down and honestly, she looked really silly but I held back a small laugh.

"I understand that Weiss, but you could get lost without a guide, so allow me to come with you, just in case." Ruby said, rolling backwards on the couch and landing on her feet the turned to face me.

"I would be happy to have you as a guide through this town." I said and bowed to her, then heard snickering causing me to look up.

"Drop the formalities Weiss, you don't need them in front of me." She said and walked over to me and opened the door with a slight smile. "Let the tour of Vale begin, shall we?" She asked and I nodded, walking out the door and she shut and locked it behind us.
