Ruby was casually at Weiss's side as she saw her friend look around. Weiss came from a good family and dressed to the nines. Also a shopper. The five bags a journey shopper. Shoes, makeup, and the works. Ruby was more of a casual shopper as she watched Weiss walked down the main hallway. It's been sometime since she's been to the mall. And she couldn't shake off this feeling from that bad memory in her head.
Come on Ruby. Don't ruin the moment. You don't need to ruin this for Weiss by thinking about my ex-boyfriend. Uhhhggghhh. Though speaking of, Weiss's Dad had this job and he is paying for it. Exactly what is her situation? Why would those thugs from earlier attack Weiss out of no where? I wonder what kind of situation she's in. Not the time but I have to ask when I can.

"I said are you coming?" Said Weiss trying to get her attention.

Ruby jumped. "Oh! Right. Sorry... Was in deep thought."

"You okay?" Weiss glared at her.

"No worries Weiss. I'm the bodyguard. Remember..." She smiled trying to play this off.

She sighed with a giggle. "You're like a puppy I swear."

"Hey. I'd rather be cute than cold Ice Queen."

"Hey. Dolt."

"Prude."

"Fair and fair. Let's go in. Check some earrings. I'm due for a new pair." Weiss said and started walking.

"Okay then." Ruby said and sighed, following behind her.

The two go into a jewelry store as Weiss is nearly in awe with the selection of jewels. Fine cut sapphires, unique pearl pieces, rubies reminding her of her new bodyguard that was behind her, and sparkling diamonds. She walked in and started to eye into the glass display cases, as Ruby walked in and felt a little rather out of place.

This place is fancy schmancy. I'm just not sure if I fit well in here. I mean, I guess I'm just more basic? I don't know. But I keep having this image of Jaune. And what Weiss is doing by motivating me. She has a meaner tone of voice, but she seems to care about me, at least I think so. And even though her Dad is paying me to guard her, I still think there is more to her than she is letting on about her. At least with her around is it is a little easier to buy ammo.

"So Ruby, which one's you like?" Asked Weiss.

"Well, it's kinda, hard to tell. Everything's shiny." Ruby looked around and it was all so difficult to find out where to start. She was like a cat that was amazed by shining objects.

"What should I do?" Pondered Weiss.

"Diamonds or Sapphires. I know your colors." Ruby assumed, it seemed like her type.

"You're right. I knew I asked you for a reason. You're more observant then I gave you credit for." Weiss said, starting to view certain different sections of the showcase and Ruby smiled. Who would think they would be able to get a little closer over something like this? "Battle or special occasions?"

"Battle go round stud and daggly for special nights." Replied Ruby.

"You're the best when you want to be." Sighed Weiss happily. "Which is weird because I didn't think you knew much about jewels."

"I guess I'm here to help." Nodded Ruby.

Weiss with that Schnee credit card buys herself two items and gets a little bag to carry them with. She stepped out with Ruby on her side and it was time for more. This was only stop number one after all.

"First is small. Not like it's a big deal to carry around thankfully." Weiss said with a small smile.

"As long as it isn't heavy as Crescent Rose we're going to be fine right?" Joked Ruby.

"That maybe true. Though you want to stop for coffee Ruby? My treat of course." Weiss offered.

"Sure. Thanks Weiss." Ruby replied and thought about how much she could use it.

This is when it was going to be funny and a learning experience. With both of them starting to bond a little.

"So let me guess, cream and five sugars right?" Weiss smirked. "An outrageous amount?"

Ruby gasped. "H-how could you have know that?" Then came a playful smile. "Three is fine." A little giggle at the end.

"That's a step in the better direction. I'm impressed." Weiss said, smiling at the fact she got Ruby to giggle.

"I don't take it black like your soul." Ruby joked seeing as how Weiss was a bit cold it seemed.

"Hey. I like a splash of cream." Weiss huffed as they entered the coffee shop.

"The ice insert royal term here likes cream. So shocking." Ruby said and follows behind her.

"I'm getting in line." Giggled Weiss.
Ruby grabs herself an empty high table and grabs her scroll to see if there is anything on there. No missed calls, texts, and nothing in her files about work since she was certainly on her assignment. The way this was going Ruby might be in a solid job for a while. As she sat down, she was surveying the area to see if there was any suspicious activity. Until Weiss or her father came clean about what all the fuss was about, Ruby must keep her guard up. What other way to spend this time not as client and consumer, but friends of some sort seeing as how Ruby could be stuck with Weiss for awhile. This was going to be a short time to bond again. Get to know each other, then most importantly, no more hiding. Hoping soon that everything will be out on the table and no walls or guard up. Though it was going to be a long bridge at this rate.
