Chapter 11 : I Want You

Kaizo stood at the edge of the lake. He looked down. But no matter how clear the lake is, he cant see her. Her song has made him lost and filled him with doubts. 

"Does she... still want me?" Kaizo whispered.

Kaizo's mother walked to the shore. She gently pat Kaizo's shoulder.

"I...." Kaizo slowly shook his head, not knowing what to say

"I know" she said as she gently rub Kaizo's back. "You're confused. You don't know what to do"

Kaizo sighed. His mind is a mix of regret and guilt. His eyes are almost teary. "She thought that because she's a demon she can't be with me". 

"And..."

Kaizo turned to his mother, frustrated. "I-I... I don't know" said Kaizo with a sigh. He looked at his mother. "I don't know if we both are actually belong to each other" Kaizo add

 "If fear is the great enemy of intimacy, love is its true friend. You will always afraid of losing. But once you find love, you will keep coming to it no matter how many times you get separated" said Kaizo's mother

"She needs you, Kaizo. And you need her. I've seen the way you see each other. The way you tried to protect each other" She add. 

"What should I do then?" Kaizo ask

"What you've always do. Go after her" said Kaizo's mother.

"Go, son" said Kaizo's father as he walk closer with Fang on his side. "It's your duty as her man"

Kaizo looked at his father. He turned to Fang who give a enthusiastic nod.

Kaizo turned to look at the lagoon. His heart no longer feel doubt. His mind is filled with determination.

I'll follow you. Even to the darkest of the sea Kaizo thought to himself. 

He walked into the lagoon. Bit by bit his body sink deeper. Axion put a one way seal that nothing can't go out. But anything can go in. He swim deeper and deeper until light could hardly be seen. He adjust his vision on his mask. Monsters swim past him. He exchange look at a monster but the monster didn't attack him. Kaizo decide to ignore the monsters and focus on finding Axion

Axion is the one who have control. Find her and this madness will be over

Then, he heard Axion singing

"Axion...." He mumbled when he found her float. He immediately swim closer to Axion. But an invisible wall blocked him. 

"AXION!!!" He yelled. But Axion didn't budge. She stare at Kaizo

Kaizo take a deep breath from his rebreather. Kaizo began to sing. The barrier surrounding Axion began to fade. Kaizo tried to reach Axion's hand but she pull away her hand. 

"Axion, please...." said Kaizo

Axion shook her head

"It's okay. Come back with me. We can resolve this. Together"

Axion closed her eyes. And a voice reach out in her mind

No one can stand against the darkness.... alone  

Trust in your friends

Together, you can save this world

She opened her eyes and look at Kaizo. Kaizo give a nod and Axion reach out to him.
