Chapter 34

Simone's P.O.V

The smell of hospital is everywhere. In the hallway, in my room, in the cafeteria, even on my clothes. The only smell that reminded me of home is Aaron and his cologne. He is currently sleeping in a extra bed, next to mine. His face is pressed down in the pillow, and he is snoring a bit. 

All the machines that is connected to me, keep saying annoying sounds. It's driving me nuts, but i guess that i just have to get used to them, and their sounds. My parents is working, so right now it is just me and Aaron. I have been here 3 hours so far. Its 1 pm, and i just got my lunch. Aaron was asleep when the nurse came with food, so she had just placed a plate on a table in our room for him, when he will wake up. 

I sit up in my bed, and swing my legs out. I place them on the floor, and reach out for my backpack. I lift it up in the bed, and sit back down in the bed with my legs. I look over at Aaron to check if i woke him up, but he is still sleeping. I take my notebook, pencils, headphones and my phone up from the bag. I plug my headphones into my phone, and starts listening to Ed Sheeran 'Thinking Out Loud' 

Aaron once played it for me, telling me how it reminded him of me.. I take a pencil, and move it across the paper. I draw tiny circles, over and over again. The whole paper is filled with circles, and that's when i start to write the lyrics to 'Thinking Out Loud' inside of them. Word by word. 

The next song starts to play which is 'All Of The Stars' 

I look over at Aaron again, and this time his eyes are open. "Hey babe" He smiles, rubbing his eyes. I crack a smile, and close my notebook i just drew in. "Are you ready for another day?" He ask

"Yeah i am"

He smiles at me, and sit up in the bed. He takes the plate with food, and his cell phone. "What are we gonna do today?" I ask, he doesn't respond me. I wait for about 3 minutes, but he still just look down at his phone. "Aaron!" I say, and he looks up confused. "Oh sorry, what did you say bae?" He ask, looking at me this time. 

"I was asking, what we're going to do the whole day?" I repeat myself. "Oh, i have some plans" He smiles.

"I'm gonna go get some air, i will be back in a minute" Aaron say, and before i can ask, if i could come with him, he is gone. I sigh, and close my eyes. 

Aaron's P.O.V

I walk down to the cafeteria, where my mom asked me to meet her, the rest of my family, and all of the boys. I look around and see Simone's best friend Amalie in the crowd too. She is standing next to Shawn, hand in hand. I smile at all of them, and gives my mom a hug. She squeeze me tight. Brent comes up next to me, and looks worried. "How is she?" He ask whispering. "Not good" I stutter. He looks down at the floor, and starts to fumble with his phone.

 "Can we see her now?" Matt asks, and i nod. We walk up to her room, in silence.. Amalie, is walking right beside me, she haven't said much. Which i understand, her best friend is dying.. 

I take a deep breath. The door into Simone is closed, so i stop all the others. I tell all the boys to wait outside, and i tell my family and Amalie to go in with me. The boys respect and understand it. I take my mom's hand before i open the door. Simone look over at us, and her eyes widen. She take her hands up to her mouth, and i can see a big smile appear on her face. "Becky" Simone smiles of joy. Her and my mother have such a special friendship. She look around and sees Amalie.. "Amalie"

Simone starts to tear up, and Amalie runs over to her. They collide in a hug, rocking from side to side. Amalie whisper something into Simone's ear, but i don't hear what. They pull away from each other, but are now holding hands. 

"Help me" Simone sighs, failing to get up on her feet. I walk over to her and grab her. I help her getting up, and then she takes her crutches. She walks over to my sister, and give her big hug, and she do that will all of my family members. 

I hear the door open, and Brent walks in. Simone is talking to Dustyn, so she doesn't notice the boys walking in. "Simone" I say, pointing to the door. She look behind her confused, and then she starts to tear up again, when she see all the boys standing in a line. "Omg, i missed you guys" She smiles, and they give her a group hug softly. "Why are you here?" She asks all of them. 

"We are family, remember?" Jacob says, and she wipe a tear away from her cheek. 

Simone's P.O.V 

They are all here, with me. All the people i care for. My parents, brother and sister just arrived, The boys went outside to play some soccer. So left are Aaron's family, my family, Amalie, and Aaron. My mom is talking to Becky, my dad and brother is joking around with Dustyn and Jeff. They all have smiles on their faces, and i couldn't be more happy. My sister is sitting at the floor playing with Greyson, making him giggle. 

"Wanna get some fresh air?" Aaron ask me, and reach out for my hand. "That would be nice" I agree, and he helps me getting up from the bed. My mom has a eye on me, as i get up from bed. "Mom, we are going out to the others" I inform her, and she smile at me. She continue her conversation with Becky. 

Amalie push my wheelchair over to me.. I just got it, and i fucking hate that thing. It makes me look so so weak. I sit down in it, this time without complaining. Aaron chuckle as i sit down in the wheelchair. "Oh, how you love your wheelchair huh?" He laughs. 

"Shut up idiot" I grunts, and he chuckle again. "You know i hate this creature" I say with disgust, alluding to the wheelchair. "Yeah i know" He smiles, as he start to drive me towards the door. 

We get outside and some of the guys are playing basketball, and some are playing soccer. "Simone catch" Johnson shout throwing the ball at me. I catch it, and he smiles. He comes running over to me, with Gilinsky after him. "You should play with us!" Johnson smiles, and Aaron cough. "Ehm i kinda can't walk without help or crutches.. And i can especially not run, dribbling with a basketball" I say, and sigh. 

Gilinsky smirk at me. "We know you cant.. But Aaron can run, and you're good at catching the ball. So Aaron could drive you around in your wheelchair, and you just have to catch and throw the ball" He says smirking, he give Johnson a high five, and Aaron smiles down at me. 

"We could do that princess, we would make a good team" Aaron say. I hesitate but i end up agreeing with them. "So what team are we on?" I ask Johnson. "My team, which is. Hayes, Sammy, Dillon and me"  He cheer. "And then my team is, Taylor, Cameron, Matt, Brent and me" Gilinsky says, and smiles at me and Aaron. 

"Let's get started" Brent shouts.

"Can we maybe go out tonight?" I ask the nurse, as she is checking on me and my medication. "I don't know if that's a good idea miss" She says, and i can feel my mood chancing. "Please, i want to have a good time with my friends.." I say, and the look in her eyes shows that she is having pity with me. Everyone is in my room, either sitting on the floor, sitting in chairs or on Aaron's bed.

"Please" Aaron whisper high enough for the nurse to hear it. "Fine, but your parents have to be there with you" She says, and i thank her. She give me some pain killers and then she leaves. "Aaron would you mind taking my clothes from my bag, and give it to me?" I ask him, he doesn't answer he just gives me the clothes. 

Aaron ask all the boys and our families to wait outside while i change. "Do you need help?" He ask, and smirk.. "I could use some help, if you would stop being so pervert all the time" I laugh, he laughs with me and then he starts helping me with getting some normal clothes on.
