Desi:

The next day, Lin had invited me to go to a premiere party. Well, it wasn't his. It was his sister's friend's agency that had just published a book and well, as any other launching book, they just had to throw a party to celebrate. I had obviously agreed to go because I wanted to see Lin again. All of this just doesn't feel real.

I mean I'm dating a guy that is pretty much a demi god, he likes literature, he likes plays and shows just like I do, and not to mention the fact that he's pretty much America's sweetheart. He is such a giving pers-

"Des, wanna go to the mall? I'm in the mood for some shopping!" My thoughts are interrupted by Layla yelling from the living room. I guess she just woke up considering the fact that she fell asleep on the couch like an hour ago. She got here in the morning, and so we went to the gym and to get some breakfast. She was tired so she took a nap and I just headed to my bedroom to do some online shopping. I was in the haunt for new clothes because I feel like I have zero shit to wear.

"You just read my mind, I'll be there in a sec," I shout back as I close my laptop. I had already changed into some jeans and a top after showering from the workout. So I decided to put some sneakers on and also throw on a bomber jacket in case it got windy or cold. Once I am ready, I head to the living room and see Layla sitting on the couch, answering some texts.

When she notices me, she stands up and stuffs her hands inside her windbreaker jacket. "Ready?" She nods her head to the side, pointing at the door. "Lesgo," I say with a soft laugh.

"Which store do you wanna go to first?" Layla says, beaming. When I tell you she's a shopaholic, I mean it. She absolutely adores it. I kind of do too, but not that much.

"Actually, I was thinking of buying a good book to read. I'll tell you this, how about you go to H&M and I'll go to the bookstore that's right in front of it?" I say, already knowing that Layla hates reading.

"Sounds like a plan, text me when you're done." She smiles and turns around, to start her endless shopping trip. I chuckle and shake my head slightly.

As I make my way into the bookstore, I can't help but to admire it. The way all the books are perfectly placed and neat is such a satisfying thing.

I scan my eyes through the endless racks,

The Hazel Wood, A Place For Us, Fire & Blood,

Hmm, no.

The outsider.

This seems interesting. I flip the book to read the summary and I'm intrigued by every word. I decide to scam through some pages, and eventually buy it. I look through more books to see if I wanted anything else.

I look up to see which book category I was in and I suddenly bump into a tall figure. "Oh, sorry," I mumble until I look up. "Lin?" I say surprised, my heart racing. "Desi! Hi, what are you doing here?" He says, giving me a warm hug.

"I'm actually here with Layla just shopping before the party. She decided to go to H&M and well, here I am." I chuckle and he reveals his beautiful smile.

"Well, it's not a suprise that I found you here. I know how much you love reading," He responds. I like how he knows what I like. I like that he pays attention to everything I say.

"Well, I could say the same thing about you," I add. "So, what book genre do you wanna buy today?" I ask him as we start racking through the aisles.

"Um, actually I wanted to read something new this time." He says with an eyebrow raised up.

"Oh really? Like how?" I question, becoming interested in his answer.

"I don't know, maybe like a biography of a historical figure, or anything that has to do with America." He says. I'm surprised by his reply but not by a lot since he mentioned once that his favorite subject in school was always history.

"That seems like a dope ass book," I say, making him laugh. "For real, I also enjoy some history from time to time." I say honestly. I loved history class when I was younger, apart from english and literature.

"Well then I guess that makes two of us," He says. "Oooh, how about this one?" He picks up an antique book written by Ron Chernow, entitled Alexander Hamilton.

He quickly read the description on the other side and I could see his face light up. It was the cutest thing.

"This is it, this is the book," He whispers in shock, with a smile planted on his face. I wish I could know what was going on in that head of his to figure out why he was so happy about that book.
