Lin:

After snapping a picture of Desi sleeping, (because she looked completely adorable), I wake her up.

"Babe, we're here." I repeat softly, making sure not to startle her. "Mhm?" She hummed unconsciously. I chuckle at her reaction before saying, "We're here, baby. We're back in New York." I say and she sits up.

"I slept so much." She says, still with her eyes closed. "That makes two of us." I say, making her giggle. We grab our suitcases and make our way to the gates. We spot Layla and her group of friends, and thank her endlessly for this experience.

I talk some more with Anthony, Daveed, and Oak, also known as Layla's best friends while Desi chatted with Phillipa. Once we've all said our goodbyes, we part our own ways and Des and I share a cab.

I make sure that Desi is dropped off first so I know she'll get home safely, and then the taxi leaves me off at my sister's house which wasn't that far from Desi's apartment.

"Asp, I'm home!" I call out and I see her sitting on the living room, watching a random TV show. I wasn't that surprised that she was still awake, she usually stays awake until one am. "Hi!" She says, "How was Italy?!" She rushes and I laugh, I couldn't wait to tell her all about the trip.
I put my bags in my room and chill for a second before going downstairs again to tell Aspyn everything.

After telling her about all of the adventures I had with Desi, I tell her about the big part. "I told her I loved her," I say quickly, mumbling that last part.

"I didn't quite catch that." She says, chuckling to herself. I take a dee breath, and repeat it once more. "I told Desi I loved her." I said confidently. Her eyebrows shot up in surprise before giving me a quick hug.

"God, Lin! That's amazing, did she say it back?" She quickly asked, eager to know the rest of the story. I take a while to answer just to freak her out even more, I loved teasing my little sister.

"Yes..." I trailed off and she gasped. "I'm so happy for you two!" She says and I smile. "Thanks, Asp. That means a lot." I say and she gives me a warm smile in respond. I go back up to my room to get ready for bed. I was so exhausted.

"Oh, and Lin?" Aspyn says as soon as I'm about to leave.

"Yeah?" I tilt my head in response.

"One more thing, mom and dad are coming home this week." She says and I get really excited. I've missed my parents so much lately, I've also been dying to tell them about the woman that makes me so happy.

"Really?" I ask in surprise and she nods. "That's great, I've been kinda missing them lately." I say and she agrees with me. I go upstairs to get ready to sleep. I'll tell Desi tomorrow about my parents to see if she wants to have lunch with them and I.
