Lin:

"Tobi, stop moving around so much!" I laugh trying to catch our now rescued stray dog. Since he wasn't a part of any family or didn't have a tag, we decided to take him with us. We've been talking about getting a dog for the longest time now.

We were trying to give him a bath, but it resulted on both Desi and I to be covered in dog shampoo and waterdrops. We were laughing at the outcome while we tried to control Tobi. We named him Tobi, which is short for Tobillo, which means ankle in spanish.

You're probably wondering like okay why the hell did you name him ankle in spanish? Well he did bit Desi on the ankle and that's how we found out about him. I kid you not, he was the most adorable puppy to live on this Earth.

When we finally get him to stop jumping around so much, we clean him up. He then vigorously shakes himself dry, causing us to get wet. He runs along the wooden floors, while we get a towel to get dry.

"That was an extreme sport." I say, drying my arms with the grey towel, making Des laugh. "Tell me about it." When we're finally water free, we head to Desi's bedroom and lay in her bed, looking up at the ceiling.

"So are you finally going to tell me what we're doing for our anniversary tomorrow?" Desi turns to look at me and smirks. I laugh and look at her as well.

"Babe, it's a surprise!" I exclaim for the hundredth time, my girl wasn't patient whatsoever, but it was fun teasing her. I had the most simple but perfect date planned, it involved something we both loved.

I was now sitting up, using my elbows for support. "Ugh, fine! I just thought you'd tell me." She pouts like a five year old. "Aw, aren't you just adorable!" I say, caressing her cheek and I laugh, knowing I wasn't going to tell her until tomorrow.

We spend the rest of the nigh writing in the couch. I would read an excerpt of the Alexander Hamilton biography book and then write a bit. That was my routine, for now at least. Desi loved to help me out since she was a huge fan of American History herself.

When we're finally worn out and sleepy, we go to bed together so we could spend tomorrow morning by each other's side. I loved spending nights like these.
