change

I know you loved

Who I was before

But have you noticed

That I've changed?

That I believe in more,

Believe in myself,

Fall in love

Way too easily

And I've

Learnt how to fly?

Have you noticed

That I couldn't care less

That I'm clumsy

That I want to do

Great things,

But never seem to have the time?

Every night,

I dream a little more

I sleep a little less

And my mind grows sore.

I want to do great things,

All the same while loving you,

But how can I love a person

Who's holding me back

Who's tearing my wings

And making me forget

Who I am

Just because they can't

Learn to love

Me,

For who I am?
