In All Honesty

Chapter 8

At least 3 hours later, after Roman, Virgil, and Logan had scoured the mindscape, the 3 sides collapsed on the couch in the living room. They had searched Virgil's room, Roman's room, Logan's room, Patton's room, Remy's room, Picani's office, the imagination, the control room, even checked with Thomas to see if he'd seen the father figure, all to no avail.

"We have looked positively everywhere! Where else could that little puffball be?" Roman wondered out loud. "We could recheck the mind again." Logan suggested half heartedly.

Then, Virgil has an idea. He hopped up from the couch, causing the other 2 sides to look at him quizzically. "Guys! We haven't checked his room yet!" Logan sighed. "We have checked Patton's room 3 times Virgil."

"No, no, no. Not Patton's room. His room." Virgil restated. Then Roman caught on. "Oh! I see, my chemically imbalanced Romance is talking about Dece-" Virgil shushed Roman. "Don't say his name!" Virgil hissed, and Roman nodded.

"Why on earth would Patton go to that room?" Logan queried. "Maybe he didn't try to..." Virgil thought out loud, and, realizing what he said, began to panic. "What if Dec-he forced Patton to go there?"

Logan rose up from his seat quickly and Roman, following suit, sprang up and began to jog down the hallway, before pausing and walking back to the main room. "Where is his room again?" Roman asked. Logan summoned a sketch book of the mindscape's layout, and, having found what he needed, made the book evaporate before walking briskly down a hall.

"Follow me." Logan called, but Roman and Virgil were already close behind the logical side. It was time to save their friend.
