chapter 13 Secrets

Griffin turned around and stared at Trisha, blankly, until Trisha finally yelled, "What are you doing, Griffin, I thought you were dead?"

"Do I know you?" Griffin said snobbishly, as he prepared to strike again.

"Yes, I am your sister, Trisha, you know the girl you abandoned five years ago?"

"Trisha. I... I thought you died, they told me that you burned in the ashes of our home. They told me that you were accidentally incinerated, that you were a casualty of war." Griffin told as his voice started wavering, and his eyes became watery. He ran over to Trisha, and hugged her tightly, which Trisha soon reciprocated with her own hug and tears.

"I thought you were dead too. I thought you were murdered like... like dad.."

"I know, and I'm sorry." Griffin finally let go of Trisha, but his eyes were still watery, even though he was furiously trying to wipe them away, "Anyways, how have you been recently?"

"I made new friends and we've been traveling around recently. So where have you been?"

Griffin paused, "listen, Five years ago I learned the truth, I learned about what Dawn was doing. I couldn't just sit quietly and watch, so I joined the Time God's Keepers." Griffin gave out a sigh of relief and exclaimed "Oh I have so much to tell you, so much for you learn. I am deeply sorry I did not see you sooner, I didn't want to get anymore of our family involved, as that is what killed our dad."

"Okay, well do you know anything about what happened to Lucy?" Trisha asked Griffin referring to their sister.

When she mentioned Lucy, Griffin started to look solemn and confused, "No, not Lucy, when did she disappear?"

"About three and a half years ago, then mom disappeared almost exactly a year ago

"Yeah about that, I do kinda know where mom is, but you might not want to know."

"Really, why would I not want to know where she is?"

"So well you know Nydia, well she needed this virus to hopefully kill Dawn, do you know anything about that?"

"Yeah, one of your former members told me all about that."

"Sweet, so the problem with the virus is that a normal human is not meant to handle that power, which is very much the point, as the Creature of Time did not want just anyone to get a hold of the abilities it possesses. Anyways, so when a baby is about to be born, the mother can drink the blood of the Time god, and have part of the Time God in that baby. Meanwhile the mother body will either reject the blood and most likely die in childbirth, or will accept it and also have a part of the Time God inside her. There are only a few of these people out here, and our mom is the only one we know of. Since she is the only one we currently have her in custody and are extracting this essence out of her through blood transfusion."

"Wait, so you just let these maniacs take our mother?"

"They promised that they would not kill her. That's why it has been a year since they took her, and also why Nydia has not become ultra-powerful yet, they are only taking a little at a time, and transferring it that way. Also they promised that they would never come after our family."

"Well fat-lot that did, they have attacked our home, and then attacked the town next to our home that I was stating in after our home was destroyed!"

"Did you say that they attacked the town next to our home? I never heard anything about that. When was it?"

"The day after that burned our home."

"I knew that we were planning on looking into that town because a lot of infected people escaped there, but I never gave the signal to attack, and no one ever told me we were attacking. the only reason I can think of right now is that they would do that is if they thought that it was urgent they grab someone in your village. Oh I know. When entering in here, no one saw you. That means that you had to go through the caves under here, didn't you?"
