"Is something wrong" Sapphire asked, gently.
"We're going to kill Nydia, come on." Michael said this with an anger and hatred that was unlike the calm and caring leader that Trisha was used to.
"Hold on slow down, we're going to kill Nydia? You just went out to make sure Harris is okay, where is Harris anyways?"
"Trisha's little twin killed him, so come on. Trisha you can stay here with your mom and protect her while the rest of us find Nydia.
"Rose isn't here, she was kidnapped by Nydia."
"Great, we can kill two birds with one stone then."
"Hold on, don't you think that maybe we should try to come up with some plan, we don't even know where Rose is."
Trisha replied, "there's a hospital in the east, it has lots of medical supplies, so if my mom is anywhere, it would be there."
"Okay, but what about the members guarding her?" Steph asked
This must of irritated Michael, as he angrily replied, "This town was never meant to house Rose, it was meant to be a temporary holding cell while they moved her. That's why so few people were guarding her when we entered the base, and we took out all the non-regens for awhile, so their numbers will be diminished. Now, Stephanie do you want to rescue her or not?"
Steph raised her voice, "Oh course I do, but maybe we should think of a more through plan before we just charge in there.
"What happened to the warrior you used to be Steph. You used to be our great hunter who would kill the animals without a second thought and rush in everywhere. where is that person now."
Steph screamed with her eyes watery, "That person sadistically mutilated someone after death!" she calmed down, " and now I am scared of becoming that person again, who in the end still could not save Trisha."
Trisha got in between Stephanie and Michael, "Listen, we are all very stressed and tired right now. Why don't we go to bed, an then raid the hospital at noon?"
"why not right now?" Michael rebutted.
"Did you not hear what i just said," Trisha snapped back at Michael, "we are all exausted, and according to Tim and my mom, Nydia is very powerful, and you can bet James will be guarding her too, who is a professional assassin, so we will need all our strength to fight them."
Michael couldn't come up with an argument, and grumbled under his breath before deciding to go to sleep. The rest of the group looked around with worried looks, they all knew that after this they would need to have a long talk with Michael.
...
"Come, on, just a little more," Steph muttered as she fiddled with the lock to the hospital, using bobby pins as the key. The lock clicked, and Steph let out a triumphant cry. Steph looked better, but she never randomly cut people off with her sarcastic remarks anymore, the only time she did act herself was when people were addressing her.
As everyone entered the hospital room, Trisha asked Steph, "Are you okay? I mean after what happened last night..."
"Dude I'm fine" Steph responded, while refusing to look Trisha in the eyes and rapidly brushing her hair with her hand, and changed the subject with "oh lets see what's in the hospital."
the hospital that Steph was so excited to see had a worn couch with several magazines and newspaper, some faded and from the pre-war days, and some that were clean and after the war. Steph ignored all of these and jumped over the receptionist desk at the back of the room, finding a map among all the papers.
