Ah...it's getting late, isn't it? Hm. What to do about that girl, tommorow. It won't do her any justice to run, I can sense her as long as I'm close enough. Unfortunately, she gives off a pretty weak signal, unlike the true monster I've been searching months for. Every time I find her location, she quickly retreats. Does my monster know I'm coming? No. I spend two or three days out of the area everytime I lose her signal. I can't let her know that I'm chasing her around. I have to act as if I'm not staying around that one location. Ugh...Kamakura. I've spent too many lonely days here. I have nothing but my butler, James. I wonder what he could be out doing at a time like this. Shouldn't he be here watching over me? I mean....I've been really lonely here....and...Ugh, I don't know what to say anymore. I guess I'll just head over to bed now. Good luck tommorow, my little horned beast.

~Rose

Rose closed her diary and set it down.

She sighed. "Ugh, this life is becoming too boring. Maybe it will be truly worth it, once I find her..."

Her thoughts were interrupted by noisy footsteps in the hall, then a gentle knock on her bedroom door. She pushed her chair back and stood. "Come in!" She called to her visitor. The door opened, and in stepped her handsome butler, James. He took his jacket off, and set it on her nightstand.

"Oh, hello, James. It's nice to see you again."

"Hello, Miss Rose. It's a pleasure seeing you, as well." He smiled. His smile always seemed to calm her.

"Is there something you needed from me, James?"

"Ah-Oh, uh, no....I just wanted to tell you that I went to look for her. Unfortunately, nothing turned up."

"James, that's the third time this week you've stayed out late searching for her! Please, don't. I'm concerned about you....But, I mean, I think it was....sweet." She worried a lot about her butler. He was all she truly had here.

James blushed profusely. "Ahhh...Um, t-thank you, Miss! I'll try not to do it as often..."

"But, James. It's my job to search for her. Please, do yours, okay?"

"Y-Yes, m'am. I wish you a good night." He bowed to her, then walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.

"He sure is strange, that James. Well, I guess it's time I get some rest. See you soon, my little beast." Rose smiled wickedly at the thought of finally meeting Nana. She jumped into bed, and closed her eyes.

After a few minutes of slumber, James opened the door very slowly, letting the light from the hallway creep in, just enough for him to see her sleeping.

"Wow...What an angel. Oh yeah, my jacket." He retrieved it, then slowly closed the door behind him.

"Goodnight, my dear." He whispered to himself.
