A piercing scream woke me up from my sleep. I usually wasn't a light sleeper, so I jumped out of bed as soon as my ears heard the sound. I glanced at my right, the sound was coming from the room next door. The girl's room. Celaena's Room. I muttered a curse to myself for not realizing that she'll be having nightmares. Who wouldn't have nightmares with that many scares? We had nightmares about the Mountain, but we've never physically felt pain back there. As I ran to Celaena's room, Feyre, Rhysand, Cassaian, Mor, and even Amren we're running out of their rooms, some quicker than others.
"What's going on?" Rhys asked.
He looked pissed, properly because the scream disturbed whatever he and Feyre were doing in their room.
"I don't know, but she started screaming all of a sudden." I replied.
"Well open the door already!" yelled Cassaian.
I tried opening the door, it didn't work. I tried slamming into the door, that didn't work either.
"It's not opening!" I protested.
"Move," Rhys commanded, shoving me to the side. He tried blasting the door with magic, that didn't work either.
"Shit, what did that girl do to the door beforehand?" Rhys said.
"I left her here, and she closed it on her own." Feyre said, looking worried.
"Is there a window in her room?" Amren asked, looking as pissed as Rhys. She'll properly gut Celaena for disturbing her sleep.
"Yes, though it's the one above. The room was designed to have a window above the bed." replied Mor.
"Well then? Hurry the fuck up!" Cassaian yelled.
We all ran towards the roof. I looked through the window, but couldn't see anything due to the frost.
"We're gonna have to break it!" I screamed.
"But she's sleeping right under us!" Feyre protested.
"We're just gonna have to tend to her wounds after!" I yelled back.
I could hear her screaming even through the strong current of the wind. Her screams seamed to form a word.
"Hurry!" yelled Mor.
Rhys punched his fist against the glass, shattering it. I prayed she wouldn't get too cut up down there.
"Celaena?" Feyre called out, attempting to wake her from her sleep.
She still continued to scream.
I jumped down, towards the room, trying to shake Celaena back into consciousness.
"Wake up already! Celaena! Celaena! CELAENA!" I screamed.
By the third time I said her name, her eyes flew open.
"No....no...no...NO!" she screamed.
"Stop it Maeve! Please! Stop these dreams! Please! Cairn could do whatever he wants! Just don't hurt Rowan!"
Her voice sounded like she was so much in pain.
"Feyre! Water please!" I asked Feyre.
She looked at me and back at Celaena. She nodded. A bubble of water appeared on top of Celaena's head, and then burst open, soaking both of us in water.
I looked back into Celaena's eyes, the cloudiness seamed to dim.
"Thank you.......mom..." she whispered, and then suddenly collapsed.
I managed to catch her in time, before she fell on the floor.
I looked at my family, each of their eyes were filled with confusion.
"What the fuck happened to fire-bringers in her world?" Rhys asked.
