Bucky leisurely strolled into Lumere corp. through the back entrance. All the security mechanisms were deactivated, courtesy of hydra, so Bucky had no fear of being discovered. Hydra had also set off a fire in the building earlier, so all the floors were void of people. The security guards were positioned outside the building instead of their usual space inside.

The best part was that shield didn't even know that he was there. That gave him all the time in the world to complete the mission. Bucky walked to the elevator and pressed the silver button. The steel doors spread open and invited him inside with a ding. His metallic finger pressed on twenty, best to start at the top and make his way to the bottom.

Each floor had a decent number of vending machines, which was good for the employees, but annoying for Bucky. Bucky's fingers pried several of the metallic machines open, before his eyes landed on the silver flash drive. The damn flash was on the fifth floor, Bucky would have already been on his way home if he had started from the bottom up! Bucky slipped the precious item into his pocket with a sigh. Now all he had to do was get it to their tech lab.

A faint rustling caught his attention. Bucky froze, trying to remain as silent as possible. His hand slowly reached for his gun and gripped the weapon tightly. The entire building was supposed to be vacant, who was that? A SHIELD agent? Or maybe a third party which somehow found out about the location of the flash? Bucky internally groaned, nothing ever truly went his way.

Bucky lifted his gun, his finger resting on the trigger. He creeped forward soundlessly, walking along the wall to avoid casting a visible shadow in the dim light. It was quiet. So silent that he could hear every beat of his heart, every breath sucked into his lungs.

But Bucky knew better than to dismiss a potential threat. He flattened himself against the wall and peaked over the corner. A shadowy figure was bent against an open vending machine, rummaging through the snacks. SHIELD. Bucky sighed internally. The only exits were the stair case and elevator which was close to where the person was standing.

He carefully peaked out the windows, it was a long way down. Bucky's eyes danced around the moonlit world, trying to figure out escape routes. A movement in the reflective window caught his attention. He quickly drew his gun as he turned around. "Don't move!"

The figure however continued walking towards him. Bucky narrowed his eyes. If he intentionally shot a Shield agent, he would have so much paper work to do. "Put that away," the man reached out and pushed Bucky's arm, so the gun was pointing to the floor.

"Oh, it's you," Bucky slipped the gun into his holster.

"I see that your informant is hard at work," Steve said. Bucky responded with a sly grin. "And by that face I'm guessing you beat me to it." Again, Bucky remained silent but said all that needed to be said through a haughty facial expression.

Steve run a hand through his hair and sighed. They had come to an agreement. If the both of them were sent on the same mission, who ever was there first would get to complete it. Not that Bucky always honored it, but Steve always did. It was one of the ways they got their relationship to work.

"I don't suppose you'd let me have it," Steve said hopefully.

"Nope," Bucky made the 'p' pop.

Soothing laughter bubbled past Steve's lips as he moved closer to Bucky. "Well, whatever." He bent his body over Bucky's, so he could capture his lover's lips in a sweet kiss. "How have you been?"

"Well," Bucky circled his arms around Steve's neck. "But holly shit I almost fell out of a helicopter."

Steve's gentle expression contorted into a frown, "Thank god you're ok."
