Lauren's POV

Jade's funeral was today. I could tell Y/n was in pain. A lot of pain at that. It was dinner time at my house when the my phone started to ring. I pulled it out of my pocket and saw that it was Y/n I was about to answer when my mom said, "No phones at the table." I sighed but hit decline and continued to eat. Once I finished I went up to my room and saw she left a voicemail. I clicked on it wondering why she called. She never calls. Then I heard her speak:

"Lauren," she said. She sounded sad. I was going to call but decided to finish the voicemail. "I know you're listening so please don't make this harder." She sighed. "Listen to what I'm about to say and show it to my daughter." I chuckled thinking she was joking, but then she said, "well I Here I go, here's my suicide note." My eyes went wide. No no no no no. "Payton, I'm sorry I couldn't take care of you. If you're hearing this then I'm dead. I'm sorry I had to leave. But I couldn't take care of you because my house wasn't a home. Please don't feel like I abandoned you. This is what's best for you I promise. Just think about me and I would never have been gone. I'm always here. I love you Payton. I love you so much. And Lauren. I did love you. I did. But I just couldn't do it anymore. I'm sorry."

The voicemail ended just as there was a knock on the door. I ran to it as fast as I could and opened it. I expected to see Y/n but instead I saw Payton with tear filled eyes. She started to cry as she hugged my legs. Tears filled my eyes. This was it. She was really gone. Y/n was dead.

Yikes sooooo you dead. I feel like I moved this book along a little fast but oh well. I got tired of writing fluff. It's coming to an end soon. Maybe three more chapters. We'll see. Hope you enjoyed. Tell me what you thought.
