I nodded my head, unsure about her, yet she was the only person who I could trust right now.

She grabbed my hand and held it closely to her, making sure she wouldn't lose me on our quest.

We couldn't see anything. It was dark, black and yet again, colorless.

I couldn't process this view before me. I've watched movies about how a world without colors would look like. but never in a million years would I have thought that it could be real.

"Are you ready?" she asks, curious to my answer due to my facial expressions not showing I was alright

"Yah." is all I managed to say, it's what my body allowed my mouth to release

"On the count of five I'm going to start running. You're going to have to follow me, even though it's going to be very difficult. When I say jump, you jump, when I say down, you get down, got it?"

I nodded my head in a fearful yet understanding response. She began counting down.

"Five, she paused, four, three, two, she paused once more then let out a loud "one" signalling it was time to run.

She dragged me out of where we were, which felt like we were under a roof, and began running, running very quickly.

My breathing started to get uneasy as all I managed to hear was "jump" or "down", and I obeyed, obviously. My face was hit with a cold windy air, making my breathe hitch at the sudden contact.

It felt like a dark wind, not a happy one. This place was going to be the death of me.

She picked up her pace, as her hand squeezed mine even harder as a reflex, me not minding, because I was scared I would lose her.

"We're almost there." she breathed out unevenly

I sighed in relief as my heart started beating at a normal pace slowly. She later slowed down and shushed me, worrying me a little.

"Okay, don't make any sound, something is here." she ordered me, looking very serious

I swallowed the huge lump in my throat and shut my eyes, not that it made a difference if I kept them open.

I heard her breathing which was a quiet yet also nervous one.

"Fuck, she whispered, I don't have my gun."

My heart stopped beating. Why does she need a gun?

Before I knew it, I sensed something approaching us, and I soon let out a loud acute shreek which made my heart stop.

Next thing I knew, loud gunshots were heard coming from the opposite side of us.

The things body can be heard falling to the ground and the blood can be heard smashing on the ground, the unpleasant irony smell of it filling up my nostrils, burning them.

"Are you guys okay?" asked a manly voice from the other side of us

I couldn't answer. my body wouldn't allow it. my mouth wouldn't open. I was in shock, in fear.

"Yeah, we're good thanks." said the girl, answering for the both of us

I couldn't process what had just happened. I literally arrived here not even a day ago, and I'v lived through all this already.

"Okay, do you guys have somewhere to crash for the night, you guys sound new here." he said, as if it was a statement and not a question

"Um." the girl said, as I sensed her turning around and facing me

I nodded my head, not forgetting to make a sound signalling my answer. I hummed in response, slowly getting annoyed having to do all of this.

"Yah, we'll definitely crash at yours tonight." she said, happily

"I didn't catch your names, by the way." he said

"Well, I'm Alex." the girl said, finally exposing her name

"My name is Cristal, how about you?" I asked the boy, curious

"I'm Grayson, nice to meet you both."
