Grayson lead us the way to his "cover", the place where he so called "home". It's what he could afford in conditions like these. He held both our hands, Alex and I, and walked us through the path.

"Get down." "Lift your feet up."

That's all we heard coming from his charming seductive voice. He didn't seem like the person to want to talk and get to know people that much. I really could relate to him on that.

"We're here." he exclaimed sighing in relief

He stopped in his tracks and slowly started walking around, groping his way through his dark house. I could sense him touch everything, the walls, the counters, the tables.

Grayson kept walking around until he let out a loud exclamation, signifying he had found what he was looking for.

"What is it?" I asked curiously

"I found the lighter for the candle."

So, there was a source of some sort of light, after all.

"Don't get too excited, this "light" won't last for long, it's dying out." he said, sounding unhappy and angry about this situation

Alex and I turned to look at one another, but we soon realized there was no use for that, we couldn't see each other.

I sighed in desperation, again, mentally cursing myself from what I had gotten myself into. I needed to get over it though, it was too late to regret.

Grayson then found the candle and lit it up, showing his face, yet the light was hiding half of it because of the shade. I couldn't clearly see him.

He walked towards us, setting the candle on the table.

"You need to tell her what's going on here." Alex said

"What do you mean "her"? What about you Alex?" I replied confused

"I already know about this place." she stated

"Then why did you come?"

She told stood there, silence now taking over the poorly lit up room, making it seem like a prison.

She sighed, showing she didn't want to speak, then Grayson spoke instead.

"Sit down, both of you. Now!" he ordered

I don't know who the hell he thinks he is ordering us around like we're a bunch of dogs, but I still listened to him and did what was told.

I sat down right where I was standing and so did Alex. Grayson sat right in front of us, from what I was sensing.

"So, I suppose you want to know what's happening?" he started off

"No shit, of course I do." I spat back, annoyed for some odd reason

I felt him starting to feel uncomfortable as he was shifting around on the floor. I instantly regretted what I said and coughed a few times in embarrassment.

"Sorry." I muttered under my breath

He clears his throat as he hums in response. He then continues speaking right where I cut him off.

Alex seemed to be uncomfortable too, not knowing what to say, she just stayed silent.

"Zaron is a world with no colors. It's colorless."

My mouth went wide as I was in a state of shock. I couldn't process what he just said. Although I had seen today's night.

"W-What- Wait what do you mean?" I said stuttering, my eyes becoming watery

"We live in a world where there are no colors. Not the black and grey world, just plain black."

"Wait, how do you know about colors?" i said, clearly confused about this situation

I could feel him looking at me, staring in fear, in fear of me knowing the unknown, in fear of him being exposed.

Yet, my ears still couldn't believe what I heard. A huge lump in my throat started to form as my breathing became heavier.

Alex noticed what was going on with me. She instantly came towards me, engulfing me in a hug, her hands massaging my hair.

She kept shushing me and rubbing my back, which was soothing. I soon calmed down a bit and noticed Grayson seemed to not really care about my situation.

"How the fuck are we supposed to live like this?! Why did I even come here in the first place? I can't do this!" I yelled out, now tears streaming down my face like a waterfall

"The question is, why did you decide to come here in the first place?"
