Jade walked through the cafe entrance with smile on her face but it suddenly stopped when she looked at Jesy's face.
"Oi Leigh I think Jade owed us because absolutely she was getting laid last night", Jesy smirked while Leigh shouted something from the kitchen.
Jade groaned in frustration, "What the hell Jes there's lot of customers here", she whisper yelled.
And then suddenly Leigh walked towards Jade while shouted, "You damn right Jes she got it last night God respected her my ass eh Jadey-poo", Leigh laughed along with Jesy.
"But Jade did you at least said your love to poor girl?", Leigh asked again.
"I did after we did the...", I groaned again because God didn't have to tell them details.
"Such an asshole eh said that you love her after you screwed her up!", Jesy said in disbelief.
"Shut up! We shouldn't have talked about my sexual life you know", Jade grumbled then walked to the counter to make myself a cup of coffee. They just laughed harder at me.
The day went by Jesy and Leigh kept mocking Jade most of the time and make Jade's face turned red. But when her shift finally over and Jade finally freed herself from her best friends, Jade walked out from the cafe not before flipped Jesy and Leigh off then she ran away quickly because Leigh started to chased after her.
When she was sure that Leigh nor Jesy didn't follow her, she stopped running and walked to her second job at book store. While she walked, her phone started ringing and unknown number appeared on her screen.
Jade's pov
"Hello?", I asked and there was a paused on the other line.
"Sorry, is this Jade Thirlwall?", the man asked and then Jade realized it was the man who spoke up to her awhile ago but she totally forgot about it.
"Yes that's me sorry, Sir I knew who you are eh not really though because I never catch your name before", Jade said.
"I will tell you if we have a chance to meet soon I hope because we kinda running out of time", he said in a rush.
I think for a moment then decided, "okay how about meet me in 10 minutes sharp and don't be late, we'll meet at bookstore?", I asked him. Finally he agreed then we hang up.
I walked to the bookstore with anxious about why that man so eager to meet me in person. I groaned and walked a bit faster hoping that man hasn't arrived before me.
Finally, I arrived in front of the book store and get inside while looked around. Sam, my new co worker approached me with smile.
"Jade welcome here! Don't be nervous please because this place not that busy unlike at the cafe", he chuckled.
I smiled at him, "Thanks Sam and well I am quite nerd myself so yeah actually I love quiet place more than crowded ones".
After little chit chat, I started to do my job there until Sam approached me again amd told me there was a man looking for me. After I said thanks to him, I walked toward the man who already sat on the chair at the front of the store.
When he looked at me, my eyes widened then I felt myself become angry. "Uncle Victor what the hell are you thinking?!", I screamed at him and he looked dumbfounded. He is my dad's friend but I already considered him as my own uncle. He was so much better than my own dad but also dad hired him because practically he was the one who run the company and not my dad. He was just like puppet to my dad and I hated my dad for that. He kept begging me to come back when I told him I ran away from home. I didn't hate him but I know if I keep contacting him, dad will find me and that's bad idea so I cut everything from my life in South Shield and started new life. But I wonder what he want from me now.
"Jade listen to me first please", he pleaded.
"No! If I knew it was you I'm going to ignore those phone calls!", I shouted at him. And then Sam approached us and asked if everything okay and I apologized to him and promised to be more quiet and then he left us again.
"Jade your dad was in accident and the company needs you, you're the only child....", he tried to explain but I cut him.
"I am not his child at least not anymore and I regretted it being his child. He just want money because all he cares just his wealth! Actually I worried about mom because he treated her like shit. How was she?", I asked.
He looked tense when I mentioned my mom and then he spoke, "Jade I am so sorry your Mom she passed away..." and I didn't hear the other words that came out from his mouth.
"She what?", I asked in disbelief, actually I felt numb because my mom just passed away because of someone I called dad of course but how much I wanted to be angry right now I just can't because I can't feel anything at the moment and he looked at me with pity.
"I tried to tell you but I think it's better if we...", I cut him again.
"Why didn't you tell me on the phone? I could've come and see her for the last time. How could you?", I said with blank expression and he looked scared.
"I am sorry Jade but the company, I need you to come to South Shield right now", he told me.
I shook my head, "I will come but for my mom only. I can't go right now because I'm in the middle of my job now", I explained to him.
He looked around the bookstore, "You work here? Jade you can do better if you work in your own company", he exclaimed.
"No I am not his puppet and I hated that I always said yes to him and did as he pleased. I am his child not his servant. He never loved me so I chose to ran away. At least I am happy with my life right now because he can't rule me anymore", I explained to him.
He nodded his head then said, "tomorrow I'll pick you up with the car be sure to be ready at 8 am. We have a lot of things to talk anyway".
I nodded my head then he excused himself not before hugged me and said "I am so happy to meet you again Jade". I looked at him as he stepped out from the store.
Whenever someone mentioned about him to me, I felt like my worst nightmare has started and I hated that.
