ASHLEY'S POV:

I woke up later than usual alone in Mitch's bed. I got up and stretched. I began to get dressed until I heard loud talking outside.

I opened the blinds and looked down. There was a police cruiser and a police officer out in front of the TC house. Adam and Mitch were outside talking to the officer. I looked closer to see that Vik was in the back of the cruiser.

All of a sudden a feeling of unhappiness overcame me. Part of me told me this was the right thing to do and another part of me told me to curl up in a ball and cry.

I was having a war inside myself. No matter what deductions I made, I wasn't sure that I was winning that war.

I thought better of myself and quickly through on some clothes. I looked around for any pair of shoes and found some flip flops in the floor. I slid them on and rushed down the carpeted staircase. I ran through the cluttered living room and dashed out of the front door.

I ran up to where Adam and Mitch were with the officer. "Wait. I know bad things happened in the past. I don't want to press charges. Vik made one mistake. I can forgive him for it. You need to let him go," I said, cutting off their conversation, still quite shocked at myself.

"But Ashley," Mitch started, a helpless look in his eyes.

"Is this the victim?" Asked the police officer.

Adam nodded.

"Well if she doesn't want to press charges, I guess we can forget the matter. This is a dangerous thing you've messed with. I will let him go, but I advise you to call the police station if anything goes wrong," he said.

"I trust Vik," I responded to the officer's warning.

The officer nodded his head and walked over to the cruiser. Vik looked up as the police office unlocked the door.

"Your free to go," he said in a stern voice, Mitch and Adam still dumbfounded.

Vik climbed out of the backseat and stood so the officer could remove his cuffs. He took them off and Vik started towards the house.

"Your not welcome here," said Mitch.

Adam saying nothing, I said "No Mitch. It's not your desicision. It's Adam's,".

"If Ashley is okay with him staying, then he is allowed to stay," said Adam, putting his hands in his pockets.

"He can stay. He needs to stay," I said.

Vik still avoiding my gaze, I run towards him and hugged him. He seemed shocked at first, but then he returned the hug. "It's okay," I whispered in his ear,"I forgive you Vik. I don't want to lose my Icky Vikky,".

He planted a kiss on the top of my head and whispered,"I'm sorry Ashley. I can't lose my Ashley Marie,".

"Okay that's enough," Mitch said angrily. " I don't want you near her for a long while, Vik,".

"It's okay Mitch," I said grabbing his hand.

Vik looked at me as if to say thank you.

Adam began walking towards the house, shaking his head. He opened the door and walked inside, leaving Mitch, Vik, and I outside. We stood in silence.

"We should get inside," I said breaking the silence.

Mitch nodded his head, still staring at Vik.

We all went toward the door. Vik hesitated before opening it. He sighed and then walked through, running up the stairs.

"What was that about?" Mitch asked angrily.

"Mitch..," I said.

He shook his head again and bounded up the stairs slamming the door to his room.

MITCH'S POV:

I have absolute no idea what Ashley was thinking. She just... uhhh this is so frustrating. I felt bad about running up the stairs and and slamming my door, but I knew it was better if I cooled off before I said something to her.

I heard a light knock at my door.

"Ashley I don't want to talk right now," I said.

"It's not Ashley," said Jerome's voice. He opened the door and walked over to sit on my bed. "You okay buddy?" He asked.

"I'm just confused. I'm mad too, but I don't want to be mad at Ashley. More than anything I'm afraid, Jerome. I'm afraid that she loves Vik instead of me,". I said, messing around on my computer.

"Adam told me what went on. I would be confused and mad and afraid to. I don't think you should be afraid though. Ashley loves you. Maybe the whole "saving Vik" thing was just hormones or something," Jerome said chuckling.

"I'm serious Jerome," I said, anger in my voice.

"I know buddy," he said, sympathy in his voice. " I've been worried about you lately,".

" I don't know Jerome," I said, standing up from my computer. "I just need some time,".

I walked out and left Jerome in my room.
