I do not own any of the original characters, locations, names, etc. They belong to Dreamworks, and to Cressida Cowell. However there are some new additions, and these are ones I have created myself.
Anyway, on with what I wanted to say.
This is my saviour to a life of blandness and no fantasy. I decided to write it as a book. It is the fifth novel I have written on Wattpad, and one of my best. I hope you like it and accept it as a small un-told story happening on Berk, this is no attempt at a second book or a lead off from the movie, just something sweet and simple. Please tell me what you think, or even better, fan and vote! Love you all, and keep writing,
BrownEyedZombie.

Introduction
I snuck down the stairs quietly and emerged downstairs. My Mom was still asleep, which was how I liked it most of the time. She wasn't exactly my favourite person on Berk.
Nifty, my Terrible Terror, raised his head to see who it was. When he saw me, he jumped into my arms and I hugged him tightly. I absolutely loved dragons, but they scared me to death, and that's why I only like being near the small ones.
Some people saw me as being disappointing, all because of my fears. It’s wasn’t my fault that I was born to be afraid of large reptilian creatures. I'll stick with my smaller ones, no matter how hard anyone tries.
“Come on Flace!” Someone whispered from the window, I turned to see my four best friends waiting for me outside. Dropping Nifty on the table I rushed to the door, but had to stop and turn around halfway there.
"Stay...now sit! Good boy." Before making a break for it, I patted him on the head to praise him for not following me out again. The little purple dragon huffed and looked at the ground. I took this as my make or break moment and disappeared through the doorway, pushing the thick, heavy slab of wood closed behind me. As I was heading down to the group, someone ran past me, putting their hand on top of my head and shoving me to the ground.
"Hi guys! Sorry I'm late. Didn't mean to keep you waiting." I said, standing up and brushing a couple stray hairs back into place on my head and fixing my helmet. "Jerk." I muttered before shoving my brother.
"Nah, it's fine. We just got here anyway." Jasdia explained, she was my favourite friend out of the group. There was six of us all together; Jasdia, Jesdia and Sedlo, our group's set of triplets. Then there was Remter, Brolo and me.
Brolo was my very annoying and cocky older brother, he loved showing off. And the most painful thing is, we actually look alike. Apart from the eyes, we have the same really dark brown hair. He has blue eyes and mine are brown. I'm sixteen, he's eighteen. I'm smart, he's stupid and doesn't think before he does stuff. Even though I hate him, if he dies, of course I'm going to miss him. Well, not really. My mother would just kill me.
We've already lost one member of the family, my Dad. I don't even know how he was killed, because mother won't ever talk about it. But I'm pretty sure it was a very long time ago.
My family is a bit complicated but once you get your head around it, it's really easy to understand. You see, Stoick the Vast has a brother called Spitelout, I'm sure you've heard of him. My mother was also a sibling of those two, meaning I was the Chiefs' niece, and the cousin of Snotlout and Hiccup.
A growl from my left suddenly pulled me back to reality. Everyone turned to look for the source of the noise.
"Let's go." I whispered, not wanting to wake up a happily sleeping Gronckle a little distance from us, but still close enough to blast our heads off if we annoyed it. That dragon I knew all too well, it was my mothers' dragon, which she loved.
I thought that being a really good Viking, she would go after a more deadly dragon, like a Monstrous Nightmare. But no, she settled with a Gronckle, they were so easy to capture and befriend.
It was just before sunrise, and a thick mist hung in the air, bringing a slight chill to Berk. This time of the year only lasted a short time and was rare, because there was no snow, as most of Berk spends it's time in a cold, white Winter.
The sound of a hammer hitting metal sounded out again and again in the distance. Gobber was up early, or it could be Hiccup. I wonder what he would be up to that he had to do so early in the morning. This place is full of mysteries.
