Has somebody turned the lights off?
In the whole world
Can you turn them back on?
Just a little bit lighter
So it's not so dark......
3 days has passed
In darkness
And it gets harder every minute
It's the not knowing.
The not knowing of when
the lights will come back
Or
If the lights will come back at all
A whole month has passed
And I can't even recall
The brightness of the sun
The heat on my skin
The positivity
And the love it shares
All such a distant memory
A year has passed
And I've given up completely
On wishing
And hoping
And praying
That maybe it'll get brighter
Maybe they'll be a silver lining
Well...
Maybe the sun will rise again
People always say it will
But it won't
An entire life time
Has passed
And it didn't get any better
I keep waiting
Thinking
Maybe it was a dream
A life time in a dream
That the lights have always been on
I just haven't noticed
But...
What can you do?
Except sit
And wait for death
No positive spin.
Sitting in the cold and negativity.
In the darkness
