There was a lunar eclipse.
I tried to see it.
I didn't.
So what.

So what if I tried.
And failed.
I bet so many others did too.
But that's life.
When you fail.
You conceal.
Deep down.
And lie.
Because it's easy.
It makes it easier to wake up another day.

People will judge.
People judge.
Always.
That's life.
For waking up so early.
To see a coloured moon.
And they'll judge me even more.
When they know I didn't see it.
So I'll lie.
Tell them it was magical.
And amazing.
And I loved it.
Because
I hate them.

But lying,
Puts salt on the wound.
Painful stings.
Leaves a scar.
Forever.
Because,
You can't shake that feeling ever now.
Knowing they know a lie.

And the more lies you tell.
Because it's easy.
Because it's the easy way out.
The more salt is poured.
All over the wounds.
Stinging all over you body.
And you are left
A fried and crusty shell of a human.
Because you thought it was easy.

And all of this.
Because I didn't see a red moon.
When I tried to prove them wrong.
I proved nobody wrong.
I made it worse.
