Jungkook managed to go nearly a week without his peace being interrupted, even getting used to his new routine with his new job. He was adjusting to working at the ramen shop, mostly nights, and sleeping though the afternoons. His body began healing, his hand the only real wound left and even it was becoming less angry and red each day. On his way back home, however, he felt something familiar. The hairs on his neck rose and he felt like someone was staring at him, yet whenever he turned around, there was no one suspicious in sight. He decided he wasn't going to let Taehyung scare him this time. He ducked into the nearest alley way and waited. Five minutes passed, then ten, before he finally moved to leave, deciding he was just paranoid. The feeling was gone as he made the rest of his way home and he decided he needed to start carrying a knife or something since now that he knew demons were a thing, he wasn't sure what else could be lurking in the shadows.

Jungkook woke in the middle of the night only to find a pair of eyes staring back at him. He blew out a gasp as he scrambled out of the sheets, landing on his ass as he fell out of the bed. A deep velvety laughter filled his small bedroom as the figure on the bed sat up.

"You scare so easily." Taehyung was sitting with his legs crisscrossed on the bed, his chin rest in his palm as he watched the figure on the floor, eye lids drooped lazily in boredom.

Jungkook pulled at the blanket, successfully yanking it off the bed to cover himself fully.

"Get the fuck out!" Jungkook had not gotten good sleep since the incident at the gala. Images of flames flashed across his sleeping mind, the sounds of his co workers suffocating, choking to death filled his brain, exhausting him greatly. Needless to say, he was on edge and now, waking up to the same demon that derailed Jungkooks life so suddenly had filled him with a burst of anger he hadn't expected.

He watched as Taehyungs features darkened, his face falling into a shadow as he sat up straight, moving in one fluid motion until he was off the bed, towering over Jungkook.

"What?" His voice was raw, gravely and low. Jungkook felt his hairs rise up all over his legs and arms, chills cascading over his skin. He gulped, rembering that the man he was talking to was in fact not a man at all, but a monster capable of killing him in the blink of an eye. Why is he torturing me, why wont he just kill me then?

Jungkook forced the slight fear tugging at his mind down and stood. When he brought his eyes to meet the others glare, he froze. The eyes that seemingly burned holes into his skin were hardly human. They seemed to almost glow in the dark room, irises slightly elongated, similar to a cats. He held his eyes, jaw set in determination. He was putting an end to his constant worrying, the everlasting feeling like someone was following him, the nightmares. That what he told himself at least, all while his mind begged him to back down, cower like a puppy in front of a rabid wolf.

Jungkook broke, blinking and looking away, not being able to withstand the piercing gaze. He felt a shift in the air and suddenly there was a breath on the back of his neck, hands gripping firmly onto his waist.

"I win" The velvety voice nearly purred into his ear.

Before Jungkook could move to break out of Taehyungs grasp, his hands left his waist and he stepped back.

"You're scared of me, you don't need to pretend to be tough." Jungkook was on the verge of defending himself, but noticed that Taehyungs tone was not mocking, nor ridiculing him for being afraid, but merely stating a simple fact.

Neither spoke for a moment, a still silence moving back to fill the room.

"You make noises in your sleep..."
