Raven parks in the parking lot of the station and shut the car door. She doesn't enjoy being here since she never heard any good news from this place, but she has to follow up and make sure that they find Gar.

She walks in and instantly gets hit with the smell of an office building mixed with coffee.

Smells like this will bring my migraine back real quick if I stay in here for too long.

She checks in at the front desk and asks for her detectives: Detective Irwin and her partner, Detective Sullivan.

She waits outside Criminal Investigations and waits for her detectives. She gets plenty of uneasy looks from passing officers. Or maybe she's the one giving the uneasy looks? It's difficult for her to distinguish the difference sometimes.

Raven despises being in here. On the night that it happened, the night she lost him, she had to sit in that department for hours until she calmed down, and then was questioned for another hour with people breathing down her neck. She had sat there, covered in burns, tears, and her pathetic little security blanket being questioned about Gar, whom she thought was dead at the time. She was hysterical. That being the point where she decided that speech was futile. That's not why, but it's when she came to that conclusion.

Except for here.

She had to speak here. Nothing would get done if she doesn't since her mother isn't here.

She was hoping that today would help put her mind at somewhat ease. She was hoping for confirmation if Gar was actually dead or not. Once she was thinking rationally after the incident she took a step back and analyzed the situation. She came to the conclusion that since she hadn't physically seen his body, she wasn't going to jump to any conclusions, but she knows its very possible that he is gone. The thoughts that have plagued her mind since then. Since she stumbled out of that door onto the grass. Since she–

"Raven?" One familiar voice broke her out of her thoughts. She looks at them. Detectives Leah Irwin and Arden Sullivan. Irwin is holding a manila envelope.

"H-hi..." She croaks out. "Can I get a bottle of water?"

"Sure." Detective Irwin leaves to get her water and Detective Sullivan stays.

"I'm guessing you're here for a follow-up?" Raven nods.

"Have you guys found anything new?"

Sullivan nods. "Yep. Once Detective Irwin gets back we'll go outside and chat a little." He replies lightheartedly. He extends a friendly hand and flashes his full, chocolate irises. She takes it and he helps her off the chair. "How have you been doing? Has anything new happened?"

Raven shakes her head. Irwin returns with a cup of water.

"There you go."

"Thanks." She takes a sip as Irwin moves her long golden ponytail to the other shoulder.

"Arden hasn't scared you yet has he?"

Raven gives her a puzzled look.

"Oh, right. He hasn't taken off his hat." Irwin remarks with a smirk.

"Irwin, she doesn't need to know about– hey!!" Irwin cuts him off mid-sentence by jovially pulling off Sullivan's black fedora to reveal his hair.

Raven grimaces a little. His new haircut is...less than ideal to say the least. It looks like he tried to get a trim on the back and the sides, but the stylist used a ruler and the ruler was slanted.
