Zero's POV.
"What are you Doing" My dad said
"I want fifty Million Dollars in cash like I told your wife" he says with a grin across his face
"she is not my wife" my father rolled his eye in disgust
"Whatever but I need that money in 7 days or I'll have the urge to spike her head"as he presses the gun to my neck harder
"Okay you'll have what you want, just don't hurt my daughter," My father says full of worry his hair mangled, his tie undone my mom and step dad's eyes were also teary,
"Good good" John says smiling and grinning like a kid who got what he wanted.
"The place we are to-" the lights suddenly go out cutting John's mid sentence the laptop apparently is still open
"What the hell " John says as he tries to fix the network in the laptop, This time I didn't waste this opportunity and finally snap the bond in my hands, I was just about to work on untying my foot just then John managed to fix the network again and the screen showed everyone again in the room and a man who appeared to be a police, John then goes to me gripping my neck then pointing the gun to my head. which is positioned Just below his chin i can feel his scruffy rough beard brushing against ,my hair.
I see at the screen that everyone has panicked specially mom who is trying to get calmed by my step dad who is otherwise also in panic but trying his best to keep it in
"As I was saying, I will kill Zero your girl if you don't give me the money. I will send you location for the money drop point since power do..."
He gets cuts as a police in the screen grabs the laptop there and goes to a room. He must have thought about of my parents condition I thought.
"Zero I'm Zack and I'm here to help you stay safe" he says.
"What the fuck are you saying and did mind your business cop." Unfortunately John's mood has darkened from what Zack did. They continue arguing.
I didn't Know what came to my mind that moment but I just do the next things without hesitating or stopping, I lift the gun pointing towards that it's now aiming John's chin and I pressed the trigger, blood then starts flowing after the blast. when I come to realize what I've done. I see the police guy's face in shock at the screen. probably more shocked than I am.
"What...what have you done" he finally managed as he put his palms in his forehead and turns to face the side.
"I...I didn't mean to" he turns towards me "Okay forget about it kid, we need to get you out of there first," he say
"Now I want you to look for.....for anything there," he adds
"What am I suppose to search for?" I ask
"For starters keys, and aid see if he has any Id's, and oh grab the camera and get lots of pic and videos of the place. okay" "Yes" I say in between glances as I searched John's body For the Id's and grabbed the camera.
"I have the camera what next?" I ask
"You still have your phone" he asked
"No I don't have it" I looked around and then searched John's body in his pants and Jacket
"Here...here a phone" I say and showed him a small black keypad
"Okay give me it's number" I clicked the phone book and clicked the information which shows it's number.
"Here" I say
"Okay leave it there for a while so I can copy and get the gun and any weapon maybe he even has spare magazines"
I position the phone for him to see and rush to get the gun and magazine's But my strength fails as I grab the gun and dropped it. I try to stabilize myself and grab it, even as I put it in my Jacket my hands continued to shake.
I then tried the belt I just noticed that was stapled to John's waist. Bingo four mags full of ammo and a pouch full of more but not in mags. I also discovered a small flashlight as thick as my finger and no longer than my own middle finger.
I returned back to my phone and grab it "Be careful Kid, Here's my no."
My phone rings " okay at least we know we can connect. " he then tells me to put it in vibration only and his no. At speed dial.
"Now Zero from this point I can only provide assistance if you describe What you wanna know so you need to do a good work at it" he said
"Okay sir, where do you think I am?" I ask.
"As for that even though we can connect easily I still can't pinpoint accurately where you are. That'll be one of your jobs too. I need you to describe how it looks outside once you get out okay" I nod and get going
He turned off the video cam as it turns blue and I used the small flashlight to find the door
Before stepping outside the room I glanced at the CCTV thinking that they would find out once the light comes, using the gun in my pocket I shot the camera to cut the CCTV line inside this room and to buy some time in case for I never know when.
I went outside the noise was so loud down the corridor I stepped outside and locked it from the inside I looked at the corridor opposite to where I came from with John and since I know that, that way is obviously towards the cell and not the exit.
I then stumble to a room full of busy people with lights blaring from red to blue, They don't seem to notice me because of their busyness but for how long I ask myself.
Not taking a chance I look and look til I find what I was looking for in a room some sort of a changing room I saw a lab gown which I button up for myself and a pair of white surgery gloves and a glasses, a normal one...
As I exit the changing room A guy approached me
"HURRY and get this up at the genetic lab NOW!!!!!!"
I take it without a question and go on my way. Luckily I found the stairs.
