Chapter Fifteen

After that little incident that happened earlier this morning with Alec, I haven't seen him all day, which is a good thing might I add. Although it's not like I've been looking for him all day either I think to myself as I look down another yet another hallway "Where is he?" I say in a whisper to myself. "Where is who? Who is that you are looking for Jamie?" I spun around to see none other than Carlos my new wolfy friend I made on my first day of school here. I felt my heartbeat quicken as I place my hand over my chest "You scared me half to death. You know you really shouldn't be sneaking up behind people like that you might actually give someone a heart attack one of these days." I pointed my finger at him "Bad. Bad, bad wolfy," I said giving him a scolding for sneaking up behind me but all he did was roll his eyes at me. "Yeah, yeah whatever but seriously who were you looking for so intensely that you didn't realize I was directly behind you for two minutes." Crap what do I do? He's caught me red-handed oh god please someone help me for this mess I have managed to get myself in I thought to myself. I smiled thinking of a lie "I was looking for you, of course." He raised his eyebrow obviously not believing my lie so I quickly added something to help make the more believable. "I wanted to see if you wanted to walk to our next class together since we shared the same class together so I don't get lost considering this is only my second day here and all." 

He shrugged "I don't see why not consider I was going to ask you the same thing besides on the way there you can tell who you were really looking for." I flinched due to the fact that he caught me somehow "Who said I was lying?" He chuckled "You did just now." I sighed "Alright you caught me. But seriously how did you figure it out in the first place." 

"Well for starters if you were looking for me I think you would have heard me call your name quite a few times or notice the fact that I was behind since I wasn't trying to hide my presence from you. And secondly, I wasn't completely sure until you said that looking all guilty because you are a pretty good liar. Because before all that I couldn't tell that you were lying in the slightest. So why were you lying in the first place anyway? I promise I won't judge you or laugh at you."

I sighed "Okay even though I hate to admit it but I was looking for Alec." He raised an eyebrow "As in Alec Harrison the most popular guy in school." I nodded my head "Why were you looking for him?" I paused not wanting to say anything out of pure embarrassment and not wanting to reveal too much. He gasped "Don't tell me you have fallen in love with him." My eyes grew wide and I turned to him and stopped walking "God no! How could I ever fall in love with that two-timing indecent guy like him?! I swear what is wrong with you and that mind of yours?" He sighed in relief "Oh thank god because for a moment there I thought that you have lost your once proud sensible mind that you are so fond of." I rolled my eyes "Whatever." 

"Now putting all jokes aside why were you looking for him just a moment ago?" I ran my fingers through my hair frustratedly "I really don't even know myself. God that boy frustrates me to no end, I swear! Did you know that this morning I missed my first-period class because of him?! For some odd reason, he thinks it's okay to just go around and kissing anybody he wants without their permission. It's ridiculous!" He held up his hands to stop me from talking "Wait a minute you're going to have to explain to me a little more if you want me to understand what you are talking about." 

I sighed "You're right I'm sorry I guess I should start at the begining."

"Yeah, you got that right."

 "Okay, so it turns out that I actually live right across from where he lives."

"So you guys are neighbors?"

"Yeah, we are sadly. But anyway when he first moved here he actually came over and help us move in."

"Well, that was nice of him."

"My father thought so as well," I sighed "but anyway while he was helping us to unload the truck he took of his shirt-"

"I bet you enjoyed that." I rolled my eyes at his childish behavior "Are you going to listen to the story or just continue to cut me off?" 

"Sorry please continue on with the story."

"Thank you. But what neither of us realized is that he left his shirt over at my house before it was too late to return it to him. So I washed it for him and then gave it back to him yesterday. Only when I went over to his house to return his shirt to him I noticed that he was hurt. He somehow managed to bust open his knuckles on his hands and cut up his one hand really badly. So I offered to fix up his hands for him at least so the wounds wouldn't get infected. But when I went to leave his house after completing the task at hand he ended up kissing me. I mean seriously who does that? It just doesn't make any sense. And then today he kisses me today despite the fact that I made it extremely obvious that I didn't want to talk to him."

"Wait a minute how did you miss your first period if all he did was kiss you? Are you sure that's all you two did?" He asks as he's trying to wiggle his eyebrows but failing miserably as he's trying to hint at something very inappropriate "All we did was kiss and talk nothing else and nothing more."

"You sure about that?" I rolled my eyes "Yes I'm sure it's my body so I think I would know if we happened to do anything more than kiss." He held up his hands in surrender "Okay I was only checking to make sure. You can never be too careful nowadays. So was he a good kisser?"

"Carlos!"

"What I am just asking I mean come on who in the school wouldn't want to know since over half the population of girls want him and us guys want to know why they want him anyway. Besides none of us can understand what those girls see in him anyway."

"I don't know either but to answer your previous kisses even though he was my first kiss so I can't exactly compare it with anything else but he was an extremely good kisser. It was a thousand fireworks going off inside your head as soon as his lips touch yours and you feel as if anything could happen. And the moment his arms wrap around you feel so safe and secure like nothing could ever harm you not even death himself could hurt you. It's just...perfection itself."

"Holy shit you like him." I turned to him "No that's impossible I could never like him.....could I?" He shrugged "I don't know you tell me." And just like that, we walked into our class just as the rang for class to start and luckily for me it's gym, yay! NOT!!
