5: The Party

We had just arrived at Calum's house around 11 pm and it was already full. Luke parked his truck across the street from the house.

I was nervous, almost everyone in the house was popular and I'm just a nerd and of course I've never been to a party before.

Luke must've noticed my nervousness because he squeezed my hand. -Don't worry love, it'll be alright.-

Luke lead way to the kitchen, surprisingly there weren't many people in it.

-Do you want something to drink?- He asked grabbing two red plastic cups from the kitchen island.

-Just water please.- He nodded and filled my cup with water while he filled his with beer.

Luke intertwined our fingers and took me to the living room to dance.

An unfamiliar song was playing. -I love this song!- Luke shouted over the loud music. -It's I miss you from Blink-182- Of course it is. I rolled my eyes at how stupid of me not to remember.

We moved to the song and for a moment I caught Luke staring at me. He noticed and turned away.

I just laughed as red invaded his beautiful face. I kissed his cheek so he could calm down.

He leaned in and kissed me. The faint taste of beer and mint evident in his mouth.

We moved in sync until someone yelled get a room we noticed everyone had cleared from the floor and was staring at us.

Now my cheeks started turning crimson red as Luke laughed.

-Wanna go someplace else?-

He asked me taking my hand in his. -Yes please.- I don't like being the center of attention.

He dragged me upstairs and entered a door that was in the east wing of the house.

-This is my room, when I stay at the house, but I always end up sleeping in Cal's room.- He shrugged as it was no big deal.

I lied down on the bed. It was very comfortable. I felt the bed dip a little by my side.

I turned to my side so I could see him better. God! he's even more gorgeous from up close. Luke cupped my cheeks and pecked my nose. -I really like you, Athena.-

My heart fluttered at his statement. I touched his hair. -I like you too.-

He intertwined our fingers and pulled me towards him, his glorious smell filling my nostrils.

-Athena?-

-Hmm?- I was beginning to feel sleepy.

-Favorite color?- That was easy, blue.

-Blue, yours?-

-Mine too!-

Two hours later, we were laughing about nonsense. We drank a bottle of wine and another of vodka. I was seeing double and Luke was laughing so hard because I hiccuped nonstop for like 20 minutes.

There was a knock on the door. Luke stopped laughing immediately and looked at me.

-Fine! I'll get it- I huffed as I stumbled across the room to the bedroom door. When I opened it, I was greeted by a very exhausted-looking Kim.

-Would you mind keeping it down a little, we can hear you from Cal's room and it's on the other side of the house!- I laughed yet again.

-Yeah, yeah don't get your panties on a twist. We're going to sleep anyway, so.. Bye!- I slammed the door in her face.

Pff what a partypooper, when I turned around ready to pounce on Luke I see him passed out in the bed. His lips parted and light snores coming from it.

I looked for a clock. I found one under the bed. Huh, strange place for a clock to be. It read 3:25 am. I'm going to be so hungover tomorrow. Ehh, what the heck.

I covered Luke with the duvet and got in myself. I snuggled close to him so I could feel his warmth. I drifted off thinking about how perfect today was.

The Next Day

I woke up with a pounding in my head and an empty bed.

I sat up straight and turned on my phone. In the screen appeared a photo of Luke and I of last night. Then it all came back to me. I am Like Hemmings's girlfriend.

My throat hurt a lot. I climbed off of the bed and went downstairs to get some Aspirin and water for my terrible headache but I bumped into Luke who has a bottle of water and a bottle of aspirin in another hand.

-Hey baby, you're awake.- He gave me a sweet kiss on the lips and handed me two aspirins and the water bottle.

-Thanks Luke-I swallowed the pills and walked to the kitchen, Luke following me.

-What do you want for breakfast, or should I say for lunch?- He asked smirking.

My eyes widened at his words. Lunch? I checked my phone and he was right. It was 12:38pm.

-Whatever you want is fine.-

I smiled at him. "-Hey, do you know where Kim is?-

-Ugh, check in Calum's room. It's upstairs to the left the third door at your right.-

I nodded at his directions and made my way upstairs.

I knocked on the door three times before someone yelled from the inside to come in.

I opened the door and my eyes went to the bed where Kim was.

-Have fun last night?- She asked me as I sat next to her.

-Huh?- I'm confused.

-You do remember, right?- Kim asked concerned.

-Umm, aside from getting drunk and passing out in Luke's room no.-

She looked surprised, -So you didn't get that tapped?- Asking with an eyebrow raised.

I looked at her in horror. -Ew, no!-I shoved the pillow in her face.

-Ok, ok! I was just making sure.- She raised her hands in defeat.
