Chapter Fourteen: The Strange Event

~(Y/N)'s POV~
As the movie played I didn't think much of it at first. Until we went to the first bloody part of the movie. I did watch Scream before, yes, but I couldn't remember most of the movie. So, this caught me by surprise. Since I was at the left end of the couch, and Garnet was sitting beside me, I felt scared since I thought something was gonna get me. I wasn't scared when I watched the movie the first time, since it was during the day, but I get more emotional during the night. That means, I acted more scared, more sad, sometimes more happy, and if I have an injury it hurts more, and so on. I tried not acting scared though, since I wanna act brave near Garnet. But, when Scream got in the house, that's when I was terrified. Without me noticing, I clenched onto Garnet's left arm in fear. Garnet didn't mind though. Infact, she even smiled a little. As the murder seen kept playing, I clench onto Garnet more, trying to scoot away from the edge as far as possible without looking like the floor was lava and slowly rising while I was trying not to get burned. Eventually, when the girl (forgot her name) went out of the house all bloody and was walking to her parents, trying to yell for help but she couldn't, and Scream came and start stabbing her again, I started crying a little in fear. Suddenly, Garnet picked me up and put me in her lap, wrapping her arms protectively around me. I blushed and calmed down a little. After the murder seen, everyone was pretty much asleep since it was one in the morning. I felt a wave of tiredness rush through me and I struggle to stay awake. Garnet pulled me closer and put a blanket around us. Eventually, I slowly fell asleep.

My eyes slowly open as the sun shine brightly through the window. I sat up and look behind me. Garnet was replaced with pillows. I pout before getting up and stretching. I looked around to find everyone gone. I saw a note on the kitchen counter. I picked up and read it.

Dear (Y/N),
We are sorry we're not saying goodbye in person but, we didn't want to wake you. We needed to rush to the airport since we we're gonna be late if we didn't hurry. But, I quickly wrote this note so you won't get too heartbroken. We wanted to say goodbye and goodluck with NSA. We will be updating you on what is happening with our lives while we are apart and we will visit time to time. Well, we have to go now. Goodbye and goodluck, we love you.

I felt heartbroken and angry, but I understood. I look around to find something to do. I sighed before I decide to take a walk. I grabbed a water bottle, put on fresh clothes, and headed out.

It was 7 in the morning when I made it to the middle of Beach City. It was quiet since most people don't wake up this late, pretty much only adults. I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder. I spun around in surprise to see Aldis. "Aldis?" I said. "Shh" Aldis said before looking around and dragging me into an alleyway. "What's going on?" I whispered. Aldis sighed before taking out a suitcase from nowhere. He hands it to me. "Don't open it until you lose control. Keep it safe. And if you see a black and yellow car or black and yellow people. Run or if someone is with you and your willing to sacrifice your life for them, try making them run away. Say insulting words if you have to" Aldis said. I wanted to question what was going on, but we suddenly heard a car. "Be careful, and good luck" Aldis said. Aldis suddenly pushed me to the ground before running out of the alleyway and running the opposite way with a black and yellow car following. I grabbed the suitcase and ran out to see nothing but car tracks. "What the?" I said before my phone suddenly buzzed. I pulled it out to see Steven asking where I was since they got back from their mission. I look where they went and followed the car tracks but they suddenly end at an abandoned building. I was confused but I didn't want Steven or the others to worry much. I will just check it out later I thought. I then start running back to the Temple.
