Drop
Drop

The gentle sound of falling rain filled his ears,
He lifted his head, closed his eyes and enjoyed the tears,
The gentle water running down his pale face,
lungs breathing, heart beating at a rapid pace.

Drop
Drop

He just stood there, the silence melting away his fears,
A friend or foe, the silence rings through his ears,
He waited and watched all the people pass by,
He didn't want to feel empty, why me, why.

Drop
Drop

His tears can no longer be distinguished from rain,
All the hope he once had, now sucked down the drain,
A heavy heart, an emotionless void,
Eyes still flooding with the tears he hoped to avoid.

Drop
Drop

Staring into the distance at nothing but the beautiful sky,
Footsteps can be heard, out of deep desire,
In front of him now, a face of pure sunshine in mid-July,
something about her lights his heart on fire.

Drop
Drop

She brings new hope and new happiness,
And makes him forget the empty loneliness.
