'Ugh! Why is it so hard to find a job in this part of the city?! Its literally almost empty!'

You've already been to 3 job interviews and so far every single one of them rejected you. Their excuses being: 'Too young'; 'Not enough experience' and so on.

You're tired. Legs almost giving out from so much walking. You desperately need to sit down.

From the corner of your eye, you saw some lonely looking benches who were just waiting for you to sit down. What are you gonna do, say no? Of course not!

You didn't even notice how fast you sat down, stretching your legs and feeling every muscle in your body relax.

You don't know how long you sat there, just letting yourself get away from reality, just for a little while.

Imagining yourself being happy, without any problems. But no matter how hard you tried to convince yourself, you couldn't. Life's not perfect. Nothing's perfect.

An image flashed through your head. A very familiar image. A man, sitting on sand near the ocean, eyes focused on the bright full moon in the sky.

Snapping your eyes open you shacked your head.

'The fuck's wrong with you Y/n?! Why are you suddenly thinking about this?!'

You felt your phone vibrate in your pocket. Taking it out you saw a reminder "Medicine" pop up with numbers at the top "22:15 pm"

'You sure like staying out late now days, huh?'You thought to yourself, picking up your bag from beside you and lazily standing up.

Stretching one last time you began walking.

It was mostly quiet, only the sound of grasshoppers overpowering the chilling night silence. A shiver ran down your back when you felt the cold wind touch the bare skin of your arms.

'Damn it. I should have taken my jacket.'

Half way you felt someone's eyes on you, but every time you turned back to look, nobody was there so you just brushed it of as nothing. A few minutes passed, and the feeling of being watched didn't stop. Quickly turning around, you again, saw nothing.

After a few minutes you began fastening your footsteps, the feeling still not leaving. It didn't help that you started imagining horrible scenarios in your head, like a murderer or some other criminal lurking in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to attack.

Suddenly a scream rang around the area. Your scream.

The lights turned off.

'Great. Just great!'You thought, taking out your phone and turning on the flashlight.

"Damn it..." You quietly whispered. "Why didn't I think of charging this thing before leaving this morning?"

A little squeal escaped from your mouth then you heard the bushes beside you move. You quickly shined the flashlight to where the noise came from.

Hands shaking, you carefully stepped closer. The little bush moved again and you took a step back.

'Why do all of these things keep happening to me lately?'

You wanted to run away this instant, go home and just hide under your covers, but you didn't. Instead, you ran straight to the little bush. Why? Because a little, innocent sound came from inside it. A little 'Meow'.

Quickly spreading out the branches, you saw a small white kitten rolled up in a ball, shaking. Placing down you phone that the light would still be able to shine and let you see, you carefully took the small ball of fur in your hands, hugging it close to your chest to try and warm it up. After a few minutes, it stopped shaking. You looked down at it's cute, small face.
