The truth

I ran away, far away from my stupid brother and his stupid shouting. The murder just happened and my brother was chasing after me, but I ignored him. I knew Mertal. She was a nice girl. I stopped running as I was in the Griffindor common room and slid down the wall. I heard someone comforting me and rubbing my back. I cried harder until I could cry no more. I looked up and I saw Sirius' face smiling at me. We were surrounded by everyone who was in Griffindor and I couldn't help but smile. They all smiled back.
"Come on River. Let's get you to bed" Lily helped my up and pulled me to bed. I wanted to sleep but I couldn't. There was something suspicious about my brother, how he wanted to stop me going in the bathroom, how he secretly knew someone died when he heard a scream earlier. I waited until the common room was empty and I turned into a owl. I mean I am a Animagus. I flew down the stairs to the girls bathroom. That's when I heard footsteps and I saw the person she expected to see. Tom. I followed him down more stairs and stopped outside a door and it slammed in front of my face. I changed back and put my head to the door.
"Hagrid you have to get rid of that thing. It killed Mertal!"
"No it didn'! Aragog would never hur' a fly!" Then, before Hagrid could stop him, Tom shot a curse at the creature and it went scuttleing off. Before the boys could see me, I turned back into a owl and flew off the the girls bathroom. I looked in the mirror and tried to process what just happened...
