Harry Potter fan fiction: Jennie Black and the Auror's secret

Close...too close

They all were in the club. They had just watched Harry and a boy from Slytherin duelling. The boy had summoned a snake and Harry had started talking to it. Justin from Hufflepuff had run off and so had Harry and his friends.
"Why was everyone so surprised? I could do that." Jennie questioned
"Harry's a parselmouth!" Barry whispered
"A what?" Jennie asked
"Someone who can speak to snakes. Something Salazar Slytherin was famous for! It's the person who controls the thing in the chamber of secrets!" Barry exclaimed and Rose gasped
"So you think Harry hates Muggles! One of his best friends is a muggle born!"
"It could all be an act!"
"I don't think it is..." Jennie whispered. Then Lockhart coughed.
"Well i think we need some new volunteers! How about Jennie..."
"And Merula." Snape finished coldly. Jennie groaned. They both got on the table and bowed. Before Merula could even think Jennie shouted
"EXPELLIARMUS" Merula flew back a bit and her wand fell out of her hand. She picked it up and shouted
"Levicorpus" Merula shouted and Jennie was upside down "Stupefy" instead of knocking her out, Jennie went flying out of the window.
"NOOO!" Barry screamed and ran to the window to grab her hand but was beaten by the Slytherin boy that went against harry
"Ive got you! Your gonna be ok!"
"Your hands are slippery! I can't... hold on!"
"The teachers coming"And as if she jinxed it she fell down. She thought frantically what to do. If she didn't think of something and fast, she would become part of the ground.
"HELP!" She shouted. She felt as though everything was going in slow motion. A red bird came flying. It looked like fire personified. It was beautiful. It caught her on its back and it said:
"It's ok! Ive got ya!"
"Thanks" she stood up and the Phoenix flew her back up to the window. She said thanks again and did a flip through the window. Everyone stood there stunned and she shouted "PETRIFICUS TOTALUS!" And Merula froze and fell to the floor. She blew on the top of her wand like a gun and smiled. Everyone stood there aghast
"Wow" Barry whispered. Snape, however, didn't feel the same.
"Miss Black. How did you survive?"
"Umm.." what was she supposed to say? Oh i asked for help and Phoenix just came and flew me up here? Oh yea I'm a multimagus! "I used the floating charm on myself" Jennie said smiling to herself. Snape raised an eyebrow.
"You used the floating charm? On a person? I didn't think that was possible." Jennie looked past his shoulder and saw the boy who tried to save her life. He saw her looking at him and smiled. She smiled back. His eyes were filled with worry and relief. She turned to Professor snape and said:
"Professor I'm alive isn't that all that matters? And how i lived is none of your business. Anyway i have someone to thank. Good day" she bowed mockingly and walked over to the boy.
"Hi" she said and smiled
"Hello" he said and looked down.
"Thanks for trying to save me! I'm Jennie by the way."
"No problem. I'm Draco." He put out his hand but she pulled him into a hug. Draco cheeks went red but he hugged back. She pulled away.
"See ya around!" She ran off waving. He waved back dreamily and whispered:
"S-see ya!"
While Jennie was running everyone was filing out of the great hall and she bumped into someone.
"Jennie! Omg I'm so glad your ok! I'm so sorry!" It was merula.
"Oh hi." She smiled
"Look I know we got off to the start but I want to apologise and be friends. I-I'm sorry." She started crying "I'm so sorry!"
"Hey it's fine! I'm ok!" Merula hugged Jennie and whispered "thank you".
"I hope we can be friends." Merula sniffed
"Me too." Jennie smiled
"By the way the way you entered by the flip was awesome" Jennie smiled.
"Thanks! Anyway i gotta go! See you around" Jennie said and walked off.
