It's Always Been You

Chapter 5

The sound of Ashton's laughter filled my ears as soon as I made it out back.

"Hey guys! We are here, currently in the back of a hotel-" Ashton begins.

Oh this will be good. They're making a keek.

Ashton continues to ramble on about stuff that's been happening on the tour and I slowly make my way over by them. All four boys see me and start waving.

"Jenna come be in this keek!" Ashton yells.

I walk over and stand next to him.

"Hey guys!" I say waving at the camera.

"This is Calum's favorite person in the entire world, isn't that right Calum?" Ashton asks.

Calum comes over by us and gives me a hug.

"Yeah, she's alright," Calum says.

I just laugh and Ashton ends the keek.

"Oi, lads!!"

I turn to see Niall, Harry and Zayn making their way towards us. At the same time, I get a text.

NEW MESSAGE: Hayley Bergs :D

I finished my nap. Haha where are you?

I reply:

Out back with 5sos and Niall, Harry and Zayn(:

Buzz.

NEW MESSAGE: Hayley Bergs :D

I'm on my way down!

Just then, Harry grabs me by the arm and pulls me away from everyone so he can talk to me.

"Boy, do I have news for you," Harry says with a cheesy grin.

"Girl, tell me about it," I say with a laugh.

"So, Niall told me about the events that occurred this morning," He began.

"Yeah, he tried to tell me something but Louis called him and he never finished what he was trying to say," I told him.

"Oh yeah, he told me about that too. About how he thought you would say no?" Harry asked.

"Yeah, exactly that. What was that all about?" I ask.

Harry looks around and leans a little closer so he doesn't have to speak to loud.

"He thought you were going to say no because he doesn't think you're really into him like the way he's into you," Harry said.

I just stand there and process what he just said.

"Wait, Niall's into me?" I ask quietly.

Harry nods.

"I'm not gonna lie, he talks about you all the time. It's just now, he finally admitted he has a thing for you. But he doesn't want to do anything about it until tour is over. Just like Hayley and I. Don't take that the wrong way, but he just doesn't know how to handle it," Harry says.

"No I totally get it, honestly. But did you tell him I have a thing for him too?" I ask.

"Yes I did, and he's happy as a clam," Harry says with a laugh. "At first he thought I was messing with him, but then once he processed it, he couldn't keep the smile off his face for even a second."

I just smile and laugh.

"Thanks, Harry. You're the bestest," I say while hugging him.

"Duh," He scoffs.

Both of us burst into laughter and then we walk back over by the others. That's when I noticed Hayley standing there next to Zayn. She gave me a 'talk later?' look and I just nodded.

"I WISH THAT I COULD WAKE UP-" Ashton yells.

He waits for somebody to finish the lyrics but we all just stand there and laugh at him.

"Awwh c'mon, you people are no fun," Ashton whines.

"With amnesia," I finish.

Everyone bursts out laughing and Ashton smiles at me.

"Calum, now I see why she's your favorite!" Ashton laughs.

Calum smiles and nods.

"I told you, she's alright," He laughs.

"Calum, you say that about everyone," Luke says.

"Luke, your fantastic," Calum says.

"That's better," Luke says with a slight grin.

"What about me?!" Micheal asks.

Just then, my phone buzzes. I ignore what is going on around me as I check it.

NEW MESSAGE: Paynooo

I might have accidentally told Lou about your little secret and now he wants to see for himself. Can you come up and show him? Pleaseeeeee? (:

I just smile to myself and reply:

I'll be right up (:

"Guys I have to go help Liam with some stuff. I'll be right back," I say.

Before anyone can ask me about it, I start jogging to the main doors of the hotel. I get to the elevator and head up to the floor that Liam's room is on. I find his room and knock on the door. The door swings open and Louis is standing there with a huge grin on his face.

"You're starting to creep me out, Lou," I laugh as I walk into the room.

"Then I need proof of this secret," Lou says.

I look at Liam and he just laughs, unsure of what to say. I look around the room and see Niall's guitar sitting in the corner of the room. I go to grab it and then I go back and sit on the chair by the window. I look up to see Louis staring at me eagerly.

I sigh and begin to strum the chords to Amnesia by 5sos. When the time is right, I begin to sing.

"I drove by all the places we used to hang out getting wasted. I thought about our last kiss, how it felt, the way you tasted. And even though your friends tell me you're doin' fine, are you somewhere feeling lonely even though he's right beside you? When he says those words that hurt you, do you read the ones I wrote you? Sometimes I start to wonder was it just a lie? If what we had was real, how could you be fine? Cuz I'm not fine at all-"

I continue to sing as the music flows from the guitar. I look up at Louis for just a second and he seems shocked out of his mind.

Just then there's a slight knock on the door and Niall's head peeks through the door because it wasn't fully shut.

"Hey, Liam is my gui-" he cut himself off.

I stopped singing and looked at him wide eyed. He stared at me, then the guitar and then me again.

Now I really had some explaining to do.
