Rose's POV

"Ok we're here." Gus said and helped me out of the car.

"I don't wanna go." I whispered.

"It's ok, baby." He soothed me as we walked inside.

"Hello. How can I help you?" This late thirties women with black hair smiled.

"Hi. I have uh Rose Arquette here and she came because of the overdose." He whispered the last part as if I couldn't hear it. Probably just to not get me worked up.

"Rose Mia Arquette?" She asked. He nodded. "Hi Rose. I'm Miss Jenny." She smiled at me and put her hand out for me to shake. But I just dug my face into Gus's shoulder.

"Sorry. She's a bit shy." He chuckled a bit then bent down on one knee. "Hey, Rose. Remember, I'll be back tomorrow to visit. Then if you do good, you can come back. It's gonna help, boo. I love you but I have to go."

"I love you too." I cried. He kissed me.

"Bye, baby." He hugged me then left.

"Ok, Rose. I'll have someone come up and get you, dear." She smiled weakly. I nodded and sat down. This lady came up and talked with Miss Jenny. This girl looked like she was middle aged, she was blonde, looked nice enough, really pale. Almost like a vampire. After about ten minutes of them talking, Miss Jenny called me up. "Rose, dear? This is Miss Allen. She'll be taking you down where you'll be staying."

"Hey, Rose. I'm Miss Allen." She helped me up and gave me a white jump suit. "Can you change into this in the washroom, right there?"

"Mmhmm." I nodded and did that. I came out with my clothes and she took it from me.

"So you wanna tell me about yourself?" She asked as we got in the elevator. I stayed quiet and looked at me feet.

"Uh uh." I nodded no.

"That's fine." She pushed a button to go down. It went down into a basement thing. It was dark here. People were begging to get out. No wonder why they were so pale. It's practically pitch black. There's only one light per hall. They were locked in cells as if it was a prison. She put me into this room with a lady who looked about forty years old. "Ok, so this is where you'll be staying. I'll be back in twenty minutes to ask some questions, dear."

"Mmk." I whispered and sat down on the empty bed.

"Sup, partner." She nodded at me. "You ain't talkative, are you?"

"Uh, no." I whispered.

"You're gonna need to speak up." She put a hand to her ear.

"No." I raised my voice a bit louder.

"Why you here?" She asked.

"I-" I stopped myself and started to cry.

"Look kid, I know it's touchy but you gotta open up to them so might as well open up to me." She shrugged and sat on my bed.

"I overdosed." I whispered.

"Ah. Overdose. Purposely, I'm guessing?" She asked.

"Yea." I sighed.

"Tell me dear, how old are you?" She and pushed her round glasses up.

"I'm 17."

"17? Wow. And you tried to end it?" She looked shocked. "You're so young. Your life just started and you're trying to end it already?"

"Thought it was the only way out of what I was going through." I sighed.

"Interesting. But I'm sure it couldn't have been to bad for you to end your life, right?" She asked. Oh if this girl knew the hell I went through.
