Ch. 22 - Angry She Wolf

Her eyes glowed silver staring intensely at me. Quick as lightning she threw me off her and I flew into the wall. I looked past the dust and my eyes widened.

In place of Rose was a beautiful white colored wolf with a silver crescent mark on her head. I stared shocked at her wolf, she gave me one more look before jumping out the window.

What just happened?

James rushed to my side, "Who was that?"

"Rose." I simply said before I ran out the door. I ran past Tevin who was handing Winnie a cup of water.

"Alpha!" Tevin called out to me but I ignored him.

I needed to find Rose. I quickly shifted into my wolf form and followed the pull towards my mate. I could feel it stronger than ever now, like two magnets pulling.

I felt her presence through every muscle in my body and her scent filled all around me. It was intoxicating so I was able to track her down quickly.

I saw her white wolf running with so much speed. She must've sensed me following her because she picked up the pace.

Damn she was fast. I picked up my pace jumping over logs and dodging low branches of trees.

'Cut around her.' Blade inputted. I ran to the right of her leaping boulder to boulder till I was by her side but distanced.

I jumped from a rock and tackled her down. Unfortunately I tackled her as she came across a downward hill and we tumbled down.

We rolled together till we broke apart and crashed into a tree stump. I shook my head getting to my feet. She stood up shaking the fallen leaves off her wolf.

I took in the sight of her wolf form, especially her eyes. They were a mesmerizing silver color matching her crescent birthmark.

She looked my size which caught me off guard. I didn't expect her wolf to be or look...powerful.

"Roselyn." I said carefully walking slowly to her. Roselyn bared her teeth at me and I stopped moving to her.

"You stay the hell away from me." She snarled. I felt the power in her voice. I had almost wanted to bow down to her for upsetting her.

What was that about?

"I want to help you." I replied.

She growled, "It's not Rose your speaking to."

I cocked my head as she lifted her head proudly matching my height.

"I'm Rae, her wolf."

She glared at me, there goes my first impression.

"Rae... please let Rose out so I can talk to her."

"No." She snapped.

I was taken back by her reject but this was her inner wolf who was let out for the first time. Your inner wolf usually took over after the first few shifts.
