"I'm sorry. I'm not understanding. Are you saying Blade is turning into a rogue?" I asked taking a step back.
Even though they had told me everything from day one on what's been happening to Blade I still didn't understand it.
Doctor Tevin nodded. "I'm positive. He's shown almost all the stages of the transformation."
"What do you mean 'almost'?" Iris asked.
Doctor Tevin sighed. "There's one more stage that needs to occur before we know we are running out of time."
"Which is?" She edged on impatiently.
He pursed his lips looking back at Blade who was sitting on the bed with a shirt and jeans since he ripped the hospital gown.
"Rogues are known for their tempers. So Blade's last stage is his temper. When he starts to lash out, that's when we will know the final stage is happening. He will shift and become a full rogue." Doctor Tevin informed us.
Oh god.
This couldn't be happening. This seriously couldn't be happening.
Why? Oh why would this happen to him? Especially him?
He has done nothing wrong, been on his best behavior and has changed Dark Eclipse to understand the word 'mercy'.
And now it still wasn't good enough because he was turning into a rogue. This shouldn't be happening to him.
I began to pace in my small corner trying to come up with anything. But I didn't know how I could prevent Blade from turning into a rogue.
An hour ago Iris and I were with Harper trying to cook and even though I was worried about him I couldn't feel anything. He came to my room in the night because he thought he felt something was off with me.
Wait. Felt something off. He thought he felt it. The Mark!
"What if I marked him?" I sprang the idea up.
Everyone jumped from my exclaim.
"Think about it." I began, "He marked me but I haven't marked him yet. Maybe the mate process is taking a bad turn because only one mate is marked."
James shook his head. "That wouldn't work."
"And why the hell not?" Iris said rolling her eyes.
James winced by her attitude but continued on.
"If Rose were to mark him it won't stop it. Blade would change into a rogue and she would be in tremendous amount of pain because her mate was driven insane." James explained.
"Wow. Thanks." Blade huffed.
He rested his hands on his knees and looked down at the ground. I could tell he was still in pain but trying to hide it as we tried to find a plan.
Iris stepped forward. "Are we sure that this isn't one of Logan's tricks? He could be behind all this just to get control again. We all know he's a bloodthirsty power hungry hothead."
Blade shook his head holding his stomach. "He's not behind this. In my dream, I saw him. He was in pain and from what it looked like he was dying."
"He's dying? Are you guys seriously going to believe that?" Iris grumbled crossing her arms.
Apart of me did think that all this was happening because of Logan but by the way Blade was looking, I didn't think Logan was behind this.
I didn't think Logan would intentionally hurt his own wolf with all these horrific symptoms just to get back control...
