Saturn's many moons

I was a normal kid, or as normal as someone like me could be. I guess you could call me special, but there are hundreds of us. Friends and enemies. We are all descendants of the goddess Luna, the goddess of the moon. In fact, I was named after her, the gods' last attempt on our land's redemption. I am princess Luna Grace, descendant of the goddess of the moon and her sister, the goddess of war, Grace. I'm the last spark of hope the Atlas pack has, our pack has to overcome the evil possessing our wolf soul, making us unable to comprehend the power of the wolf aura. Making us become beasts, murdering our own blood.

"Luna! Are you ready yet?" Dawn asked. He has been waiting patiently for about 15 minutes or so outside my room. My older brother is really tall and really strong. He makes all the girls go crazy, and I'm just an awkward teen. I sometimes envy him because he has it all, everything I for some reason can never achieve.

"I'm coming, just wait a little longer. It takes a while to become as pretty as I." I answered, in a joking way. I could hear him giggle from outside my room. "Your sword and shield is getting polished. By the time you put your uniform on it'll be ready." He answered.

I got out of my room with my uniform on and made a gesturing movement. "How do I look?" He looked at me and then scanned me with his eyes. "Just this little..." He mumbled to himself and took a loose strand of my dark, braided hair and placed it behind my ear. "Ah, magnificent!" He said, in a really weird and funny way, like he was mocking Emerald, our stylist servant.

"Are you ready to fight, or should I say lose?" He asked. I smiled then nodded. "This time I might win, who knows?" I said, obviously I didn't really believe that myself. "Yes, definitely!" He answered me, sarcastically. His arrogance comes from being unbeaten. At the age of 17 he has defeated every man and woman who has ever dared fighting him, including me, his only sister. Usually, when someone from the Atlas pack decide to have children, they have more than five, but my mother passed away during my birth, and my father refused to marry anyone else. It has been 15 years and he still stands by that.

We entered the arena where he practices daily, but I chose to practice runes and interpretation of stars, since that is what the Lupus beliefs are built on. Lupus means wolf in Latin so basically wolf beliefs. Atlas, my pack, is one of Saturn's many moons, just like Atlas is one of many packs. It all leads back to the moon and its creature.

"I can't believe you chose to learn about that bullshit instead of fighting." Dawn said, mockingly. As we were walking towards the fighting gear. I immediately stopped walking and turned to him. I put a serious look on my face and answered. "It is not bullshit, show some respect!" He scratched his head and looked at me weirdly, almost shocked. "What, don't tell me you believe in that stupidity!" He started laughing till he was out of breath and made me feel really upset because I did believe in this "bullshit". I do believe in Luna and Grace being the immortal sisters of different traits. The moon as a peaceful, glowing object and war, tragic, but it seems to be the only thing we turn to if we were to be threatened. These two sources create balance, like the yin and yang.

"I don't, but others do so be respectful talking about that. Some people really dedicate their lives to these beliefs, and saying that it's stupid might hurt them." I lied. I believe he knew that I was talking about myself, that I was hurt. As soon as I said that, his grin faded and turned into a look of guilt. "Of course, you're right. It is wrong of me to mock other people's beliefs."

We didn't talk much after that. I just picked up my newly polished shield and sword, and got into a fighting position. He nodded to reassure me that he was ready and we began the fight. He jabbed at me and I immediately blocked it. I tried to strike, but he blocked it, and so it went on back and forth until he managed to find an opening in my defense and slashed my legs, which made me fall. He then jabbed at my sword which was enough to knock it out of my strong grip.

Don't worry about my legs, I heal supernaturally. Everyone in our pack does that, according to the legends, Luna and Grace's powers were given to their descendants, but they slowly faded and went nearly extinct. Now, every pack has their own ability like supernatural strength, speed, enchantment, fortune telling, hearing, vision, you get the deal.

I lost my sword, but I kept fighting without it. Eventually, I lost, which was very predictive. He is the undefeated one, and also the one on the front line if war was ever to happen. Me on the other hand, has been begging father to let me fight as well, but he told me that the gods had other plans for me, and I would understand sooner or later.

"You've gotten better." Dawn said. I smiled and answered. "Can't beat the best, but you sure can make him bleed" He smiled back and looked at his flesh wounds on his shoulder. "I wouldn't exactly call myself the best." I really hate it when he tries to be humble. "ahaha, really funny." I answered with a big amount of sarcasm.

"Dawn, may I have a word with you?" It was my father that asked, king Nova, the alpha. I didn't even notice him enter the arena. Why isn't he telling our servants to ask for Dawn? Something must be wrong, I could feel it.
"Yes, father, well of course!" He bowed and followed along. I was left there at the arena being consumed by my own curiosity, so like every other teenager, I secretly followed them.

I made sure to always stay at least 5 meters behind them, to not get too close. They walked into the arsenal, I assume they did so, so no one else could hear them, since the arsenal's walls were made out of the strongest material, pure titan. It was made that way so no one could steal our secrete weapons or treasure.

I tried to listen anyway and I focused really hard. I tried to channel my inner wolf and I tried to access one of its abilities. One of those who were extinct to the Atlas pack, but still owned by the Methone pack, another one of Saturn's many moons. "The attacks" Father said. I heard a glimpse of their conversation, which is impossible. I tried again and for some reason I could only make out some words.
