The well known Asteroid is standing before me. He really isn't all that. "You look stunning, Luna Grace, alpha queen of Atlas. Considering that you've just fought your undefeated brother and you've found your father dead before you. The fight was quite impressive, how did you win it anyway?"
I can't trust him, not yet. Although he might be my future husband, something feels off about him. "Thank you, I guess, but it's just Luna. I don't really know how I won, I guess I was lucky. I've heard quite a lot about you, too." I said. He smirked at me with his blinding white teeth within his well shaped lips. He was really handsome, indeed. "Nothing bad, I hope. Can't have a divorce before the wedding." He laughed. Seriously, what kind of evil monster laughs at his own joke.
"No, nothing bad. I have to look for my brother, but it's been a pleasure meeting you." I tried to escape the awkward conversation. I really did not want to talk to him. "The pleasure is all mine, dear wife." Ugh, yuck. That man owns no shame, God forbid such cringe. He stroke his light brown, curly hair with his fingers, and that was the last I saw of him. As I was about to open the door to Dawn's room I heard something. I swear to God I've heard that noice before. I barely opened the door, only enough for me to peak through with one eye. Emerald was sitting on top of Dawn! They were fucking kissing! I couldn't bare the sight, so I ran away from there. "Did you hear that?" Emerald said, and after that I was far way from that room. I still couldn't get the image out of my head. They can do whatever they want, but I can't bare being the third wheel.
Gemini ran over to me "Are you okay? I feel so horrible about that. I can't imagine being in your position. You've lost all your family!" She said as a terrible attempt on comforting. I didn't really realize that I've lost my family. I needed to make things right with Dawn. "I'm okay, but thanks for checking out on me. I really appreciate it." She gave me a big, warm hug. God, I've missed those. "Of course, Lu! I will always be there for you." I could hear her every heart beat as she was in my arms, unsteady. "You're sick." I told her. She froze, then broke the hug off. She looked me in the eyes dead serious. "How do you know?" She asked. I didn't know if I could trust her with the secret either. We've known each other for aeons, or that's what it feels like, but with Prometheus out there, it's too risky. "Just a hunch." I looked into her soft brown eyes and saw fear for the first time. Gemini doesn't get scared. "I don't know what to do, Lu. I'm afraid I won't live to see you get married, or to live long enough till my own marriage, if that were to ever happen." At this point she was crying. My Gemini doesn't cry either, but I guess it's because this time it was for certain she could die and she couldn't stop it. On the battlefield she can fight her way to live and she wasn't doomed to lose no matter the odds, but in this case she might be. Her only fear, lack of control. "Don't worry, I'll figure something out." She grabbed my hands with hers, they were so cold. "I'm not sure you can this time, Lu." She finally said.
She doesn't know that I can access other abilities. The ability of healing others! I need the ability of the Epimetheus pack and for that I must seek their guidance, but not alone. I must bring Dawn with me, he is the only one that knows the secret as well. "I'll be back!" I told her.
I spotted Emerald from across the room, so hopefully an awkward incident like that won't occur. I headed to Dawn's room determined on this quest. I opened the door without knocking and before he could get mad at me or anything, I did what I do best, talk. "I know you hate me, but I need you. You said you'd always be there for me and right now I'm desperate. I know I've sort of screwed you over, but that was never what I intended to do! I love you, Dawn and I'm so sorry about everything, I truly am!"
I stopped talking to catch my breath. "It's okay, it's not your fault. I was the one to challenge you, knowing of your abilities. I'm sorry, too." He said. I gave him a hug and it felt so good to smell that familiar vanilla sent from his soft hair. "Come on, I will explain on the way. We need to inform the Consultant that we are leaving, but we can't tell anyone why, not even Emerald." I said. He looked at me confused. "Why would I tell Emerald?" I giggled which made it obvious. "You know! I can explain..." I interrupted him and said "It's okay, I don't care. It is weird, but whatever."
After we'd informed the consultant someone greeted us on our way out. Someone really annoying, but handsome. You guessed it, Asteroid! Yeah, how fun! Not really.
"Hello, brother in law!" Asteroid said. "Asteroid?" My brother asked, confused. Before Asteroid answered him, he winked at me, but I just ignored. Asteroid is a jerk. Flirting with me in front of my brother? Disgusting. "Yes, of course! I'm the only one this handsome!" I rolled my eyes at him. "Anyway, wherever your going I'm coming, too!" Asteroid insisted. "Sorry, dude, but this is family business." Dawn said. "I have to protect my wife! I mean, I saw how you lost against her, don't think you'll be able to protect anyone with those weak jabs and don't even get me started on your back and core movement!" Asteroid said and then burst out laughing.
Dawn was about to lose it, but I held him back. "You're not coming anywhere with us, now move out of our way." I said. I was done with this crap. I was done with Asteroid! He's so annoying! "What if I tell you that I know about your secret? I know that you are able to access other abilities. Your father told me before he passed. You don't want me to tell everyone else, do you now?" He smirked at us with that evil, psychotic smirk of his. I can't believe he's blackmailing us! How did my father know about this anyway? Why didn't he tell me? Is that what he meant about "other plans"?
I sighed. "Fine, but no trouble, okay?" He nodded. "Are you sure about this?" Dawn whispered. "Not really, but we don't have a choice." I whispered back. "Okay, pack your bags and let's leave. Asteroid, only stuff you need, okay? You don't need to bring your whole closet." I announced. "What about my razor?" He asked like an idiot. I rolled my eyes at him. "Relax, I'm just kidding. You're underestimating me. I've been out in enemy pack territory several times, got plenty of experience." Asteroid said. "We'll see about that." Dawn answered.
