The next few weeks were up and down, I went to school like normal and still had no friends, then I would get home ask mum how she was then go do my homework and hide in my room till diner so I didn't have to see that monster called my dad. He was as drunk as ever if not more so, ever since mum told him about her sickness he seems to drown his sadness in alcohol. But one day in school we had a special lesson about drugs and alcohol and what to do if someone offers you some. apparently its because there was a massive drug raid that went down recently and  the police weren't sure they got all the drugs and about £1 million worth of drugs could still be on the streets. That night when I got home my dad was there but my mum wasn't and my dad seemed to be sober but dazed. I slowly walked over to the fridge to get a can of Pepsi , keeping my eyes on him the whole time then sat down opposite him as he just sat there smiling. I sipped my drink and then broke the silence by asking 'Why are you home, and mums not and also how are you not drunk your always drunk?' he sighed and replied still with the dazzed look saying 'Your mums out at the clinic and I have made an amazing discovery and am waiting to tell your mother and you together.' We sat in silence as we waited for my mum to come home and I wondered what would make my dad so happy and sober. then the door opened and my mum walked in carrying a bag of shopping. I turned and looked at her as he puts away the shopping with a puzzled look on her face. she sat down at the table.

"Hello dear, you're home early today! every thing alright?"  she spoke in a calm voice as she sat down next to me at the table.

"yes, everything is great if not better" as he said this i knew there must have been something strange going on, possible illigal, nothing good ever happened to this family.

"oh yes, is that so! what on earth could that bethen?" asked my mum with the same puzzled look on her face as me.

"i have a mate you see, and he's been really gret to me over the past years and recently he was just plain amazng" he spoke almost as if he was a normal guy saying how an old friend had helped him out, but then it all changed as he lifted up from under the table a cardboard box filled with clear plastic bags with a white powder in it. our puzzeled looks soon turned to looks of dread and horror, my mum and i knew what this was, how could i forget the lesson i had about it was only a mere 2 hours ago, what my farther had brought into the palce we call home was illegal drugs. i think that they are the exsact ones that the police were talking about today, but how on earth did he have them and why. well it was clear, he got them from this amazing friend of his and he planned to use it to get either money or high, most likely both.

"Harold James Nightshade I really hope that those are NOT drugs that you have broght into our home, the home of your, our child!" my mum screamed her voice filled with anger.

"well what eles would it be, my love, flour? and i have told you before i dont care about that... that... thing!" he said as if he was stating the obvious. but his words were left repeating themselfes in my mid 'i dont care about that... that... THING' was that really all i was to him? his own child a... thing? i could tell by my mums face that she was as shocked by his words as i was.

She suddenly stood up and grabbed me by the arm dragging my out of the kitchen and up the stairs as the monster i had once called dad stood up trying to grasp on to her arm and stop her. the took me to my room and gave me a bag saying "pack only the absolute essentials, then what you can fit in. and hurry i wont have you in this house any longer than you must be" and walked to her room most likely to pack her own stuff. i hurried to my drawers, i had no clue how long it would be, or if i would come back to get more clothes and items so i quickly stuffed all my clothes and a spare pair of shoes into my bag along with my harger for my phone and a picture of when i was younger and we were a normal happy family then grabbed my school bag and headphones from where i had chucked them and walked out the room not daring to look back. Mum was just coming out from her room at the same tme followed by him trying to talk her out of it saying "but baby please i need you, i had done this to try and help you" i could see the tears prickiling in her eyes as she screamed "i am leaving with my daughter and we are never coming back, EVER, you never seem to care about us anyway! do you even remember your daaughters name? age? birthday?"

"uhh...uhh yea its uhh" he stumbled obvously not even remembering my name. what kind of a farther was he? he looked over to me thinking i would help, but there was no chance in hell i would help a man like that, if you could even call him a man.
