The next morning was Christmas day, and the chickens were still peacefully asleep until they were woken up to hear the resident rooster's annoying crow.

"Cock-a-doodle-dooooo! Goooood morning, barnyard!" The rooster showed off to the crowd of resident hens. "Hey, this is Brewster the Rooster coming right at ya... saying hi to all my lovely little chickies out there!"

Ginger's flock rolled their eyes at Brewster, then went over to check on Annabelle. The little calf let out a big yawn as she had just woken up herself.

Annabelle then gasped, asking her mother eagerly. "Mama, has it been a year yet?"

Star chuckled. "No, dear. It's barely been one day" she explained.

Annabelle frowned a little to that.

"We know you want to fly, Annabelle" Etta said, coming over to the little calf.

"We've wanted to fly too, many times" Ricky added.

"Really?" Annabelle looked to the unusual group of birds.

"Yeah!" Nobby nodded. "Ever since Rocky came to our old farm"

"Aye. Chickens don't 'normally' fly, even though we have wings and feathers" Mac explained. "But Kali said she'd start teaching us with the help of her magic crystal"

Annabelle smiled to her new friends, saying. "I can't wait to fly! Just like Santa's cows!"

"What did Santa call them again?" Babs asked while she knitted.

The chickens all laughed at Annabelle, as she reminded them of themselves back when they wanted to fly so badly when escaping Tweedy's farm.

"She's so cute" Ginger smiled at Annabelle while standing by Rocky.

"She certainly reminds me of you, doll face" Rocky said, kissing his mate on the cheek.

Meanwhile, the kids had woken up at Emily's house and were all downstairs opening their presents.

"Merry Christmas, everyone!" Emily said to her friends as they were all together.

Kali however didn't seem to care about her presents, and the first thing she did that morning was come over to Grandpa Baker's farm to check on the chickens. The twins and Teeders soon joining her as they got dressed up in their winter clothes. Nothing made the tomboy more happier then to see her feathered companions.

"Hey, everybody, Kali's here!" Nobby was the first to spot her and the others come over.

The whole chicken flock ran out of the barn and into the snow to see their favorite human.

"Hi, Kali!" They all happily greeted the adventure girl.

"What are we!? Chopped liver!?" Brock said from behind his sister, pretending to be upset.

The chickens giggled and apologizing then greeting the twins and Teeders.

"Merry Christmas, guys!" Kali said to the chickens as they all group hugged, having their moment together.

That Christmas morning was packed with surprises. Some pleasant... some... not so pleasant.

Just then, everyone heard a car honking and all turned to see a pink automobile drive onto the farm grounds and up to the house, nearly hitting the gang along the way.

"HEY! Watch where you're going!" Bunty yelled, not caring if the driver heard her or not.

Everyone watched as a woman with blond hair stepped out of the car with some presents, looking a bit crabby as they could hear her complaining on about something.
