As Sehun had said, they all met at a pizza joint that had glass covers blocking the cooks as they prepared the pizzas on sight. Everyone was talking and drinking their pop, enjoying their time away from work except for one of them.

Baekhyun sat at the table with his co-workers, listening but not caring enough to respond or react. He was too lost in his thoughts as he unseeingly stared in front of him as he watched the pizza dough get tossed and retossed into the air. He sighed to himself as he chewed on the inside of his cheek, and just as their pizza arrived their captain, Kim Junmyeon, received a phone call.

He reached into his back pocket and glanced at the caller ID before accepting the call, as he said, "Captain speaking, I'm on my lunch break so this better be good . . ." He trailed off as he listened, while everyone —- even Baekhyun —- watched his face for any hint of the situation. But he had became an expert at hiding his thoughts and emotions, although for a split second everyone noticed his mask slip away to reveal the look of horror underneath, and they instantly knew what ever the call was about was serious business.

Junmyeon said his goodbyes before placing his phone back into his pocket, and he couldn't mask his frown as he glanced down at their hot and tasty pizza as he regretfully said, "Sorry guys, but we'll be cutting lunch short today. A dock worker found a body down by the shipping yard this morning, time to go back to work."

Chanyeol was sitting on his white couch flipping through the channels on his TV when he stopped on a news report that caught his attention. He stopped and turned up the volume as he listened to the news reporter give a statement of the scene.

"Some time this morning a dock worker was in the shipping yard when he found a badly beaten body. Police have yet to give their report, but they believe it's connected to the string of gang murders. They are asking that if anyone knows information, to please contact . . ."

Chanyeol muted the TV as he cursed and quickly grabbed his phone, dialing a number and waiting for the other line to pick up. When they did, Chanyeol usual level of rage had exceeded itselfs and he spoke in his most deadest of voices when he said, "Who's the fucking idiot that dumped the body in the shipping yard, when I remember distinctly telling you imbosals to bury the body!? The police have already found the body, making my job a whole lot harder than it needs to be!" Chanyeol roared.

"Shit, we're so sorry, boss. We were going to dump the body in the river when the worker showed
up—-"

"Somebody saw you!" Chanyeol roared.

"Ah, w–we don't know for sure. We left before they could—-"

"Shut up!" Chanyeol hissed. "Now I have to clean up your mess myself, and this is inexcusable and if I ever see you again I'm putting a bullet between your eyes!" Chanyeol yelled before disconnecting the call and throwing his phone.

"Shit!" he hissed. He couldn't deal with something that could have been so easily avoided, and he especially didn't need the police sniffing around his warehouse or work office when he was in the middle of a war with Wu. He had to fix things fast, and do it by whatever means possible or he was screwed. Because if the police got involved in the middle, there was going to be far more casualties than there needs be.

Sighing and rubbing his temple against his brewing headache, Chanyeol stood up and walked to his coat, that he hung up on his coat rake the night before. He dug through the pocket before pulling out the business card he had taken from his little friend last night. He glanced at the name and number before retrieving his phone off the floor, that thankfully still worked after he threw it onto the floor.

He took a calming breath before dialing the number, and waiting a few moments before hearing the beautifully hypnotic voice from the night before; Chanyeol felt his body reacting to the sweet sound as flashes from the night before flickered inside his head. He had to calm his breathing and inhale a steadying breath before he was able to speak.

"Hello, is this . . . Byun Baekhyun?" Chanyeol asked after glancing down at the card to be sure.

"Yes, to whom am I speaking with?" he asked.

Chanyeol bit his bottom lip and gave a fake alias before saying, "I saw the report on TV about the body that was found, and heard you were looking for information on the case, is that correct?"

"Yes, do you have any information that'll help us solve the case?"

"Yes, I was a witness."

A/N: Hi, again! So here's what I'm thinking about doing, I have this new non-fanfiction story I've been working on, and at the moment I feel like focusing mainly on that story. So with that said, updates for both this story and Winter Heat | Chanbaek, will become scarce as I focus on my other story. I promise to continue updating my other stories until the end. Thank you for reading this, have a lovely day/night.
