Baekhyun sat in his car without any heat as the world cried around him. Maybe it was an omen telling him how badly his most recent actions had been? Maybe the Earth would open up and swallow him for agreeing to aid the his cities version of the devil —- who sure had the hair to fit the part.

He sighed and raked his hand through his hair as he stared at the disposable phone Chanyeol had given him, that had already been pre-set to hold Chanyeol's phone number. Baekhyun pursed his lips and picked up the little device and flipped it open. The screen lit up with an hour old text message that read:

I need information on a person, his name is Kris Wu. Be quick, lives are at stake, little pup.

Baekhyun squeezed his hand around the device, wishing he was strong enough to crush it in his bare hand. Then inhaling a deep breath, he tossed it onto the seat beside him and put his car into drive.

Baekhyun walked into the police station with rain water dripping from his fringe that had grown too long. He dismissed everyone when they glanced at him, as he simply stalked towards his desk to complete his paperwork as if everything was right in the world —- which was a big fat joke because everything has never been more wrong.

He fucked up.

His been making mistakes even since that first night he met him. Baekhyun had been mentally and physically vulnerable, and Chanyeol had taken advantage of that like he was taking advantage now. He broke down Baekhyun's wall that first night, and every day since his memory has stayed inside Baekhyun, chiseling away at him bit by bit until he finally broke. And the aftermath . . . it would be disastrous.

Chanyeol was sitting in his car outside his warehouse, the sky pouring down around him. His eyes flickered down to look at his phone, that was burning in his grasp from underuse. He sighed before opening up his messages and typing, only to quickly delete it all before rewriting:

I need information on a person, his name is Kris Wu. Be quick, lives are at stake, little pup.

Chanyeol pursed his lips at the "little pup", knowing it'd piss him off. But he enjoyed the nickname knowing that every time he used it, he'd get a reaction like a burning flame. He didn't know what it was about the little police officer, maybe it was his ferocity; his sour attitude and blatant hatred; or maybe Chanyeol was just too caught up in his beauty and the remembrance of his cries of arousal when Chanyeol—-

Tap, tap, tap!

Chanyeol immediately snapped out of his thoughts as his head shot up, his eyes immediately narrowing as he glared at Jongin and Minseok who were standing outside his window tapping on the glass. Chanyeol sighed before shutting off his car and climbing out.

"Yes, what is it?" he asked irritably.

"Wu is making demands," Jongin said.

"We tried calling you, but you didn't pick up," Minseok added.

Chanyeol cursed, and then they were all running inside. As he hurried through the dark and narrow hallway, he was fuming with rage. He didn't have time to listen to Wu's demands that Chanyeol would only refuse. It was a waste of time —- it all was.

And Chanyeol knew what the demands would be before he even heard them —- Wu would demand more power and insist that Chanyeol give up his, but Chanyeol would refuse and Wu would continue to attack him. Chanyeol didn't want to play his game anymore, and he would need the upper hand if he wanted to stop the ridiculously fighting.

He had to talk to Baekhyun about what he learned, so he could initiate his next move.
