It wasn't much later into the night when Chanyeol left through the front door like a normal, less creepy–stalker. And before Baekhyun went back to bed, he made sure his window was securely locked before laying back down. But unfortunately, sleep evaded him as all he could think about was that red–headed Park Chanyeol, and he hated himself for it. He wished he'd never met the man.

The next morning, Baekhyun was groggy from sleep deprivation and had a growing scowl above his brow. When he walked into the police station, he was greeted by Sehun and he's obnoxious smile.

Baekhyun grimaced and grumbled, "Sehun, how are you always so perky in the mornings?"

"Well, coffee for one; and two, I don't stay up late into the night getting my freak on," Sehun said as he settled down onto the corner of Baekhyun's desk.

Baekhyun scoffed and quietly retorted, "Oh, last night was far from pleasurable."

Sehun pursed his lips doubtfully and asked, "Then why do you look so tired?"

"I was up late working on a case," Baekhyun replied vaguely.

"Since when do you do that?" Sehun asked.

Baekhyun sighed and rubbed the side of his temple as he grumbled, "Why does it matter to you what I do on my own time?"

Sehun frowned and slide off the desk as he retorted, "Fine then, I'll leave you alone to work."

"Thank you," Baekhyun mumbled.

Sehun's frown deepened as he glanced at Baekhyun before going to sit at his own desk, and he couldn't help but sense something was off with his friend. He was being more curt and he seemed to be on constant edge, as if he was waiting for something bad to happen. Sehun pursed his lips curiously, and wondered if it had anything to do that phone call he had received yesterday. Was Baekhyun in some kind of trouble?

Chanyeol couldn't get his mind to focus on anything but Baekhyun, and their new 'partnership'. When he went to his house last night and saw him wearing nothing but a pair of shorts and a low cut t-shirt, he had wanted to do so many things to the small man, and it took everything he had not to thrown him onto the bed and have his way with him. Chanyeol had never resisted against his desires before, and it had him wondering what made last night any different.

Maybe because Baekhyun was a police officer with easy access to a gun? But then again, that little fact didn't scare Chanyeol. It was . . . it was hurting the police officer and doing something that'd push him away that scared Chanyeol. Chanyeol wanted him badly, but he knows he can't force his way in, he'd have to be smart to get what he wanted and then some.

Baekhyun's eyes kept straying towards the clock on the wall, as he willed the hands to move faster. He wanted to go home and bury himself beneath a mountain of blankets and watch bad television. He wanted to feel like he had some control over his life, that now felt as if he'd handed it over on a silver platter to the cities biggest drug lord. He didn't want to be someone's bitch.

When Baekhyun's shift at the station finally came to an end, he shut his computer off and packed away his things before shrugging on his coat. He had nearly made it to the door when he hear Sehun call out from behind him.

Baekhyun resisted the urge to heavily sigh as he turned around, and greeted Sehun with a weak smile as he asked, "Yeah, Sehun? What is it?"

"I was wondering if you're free to get drinks?" Sehun said.

Baekhyun pursed his lips and rubbed the nape of his neck as he said, "Ah, Sehun, I don't know...."

"Oh, come on. We haven't hung out in awhile, just say you will."

Baekhyun sighed heavily and defeatedly replied, "Fine, I'll have a drink with you. But just one, Sehun."

Sehun grinned. "That's all I ask."
