Sorry this hasn't been updated in forever! I'm feeling inspired right now so hopefully it won't be too long between updates! Enjoy!

Just before dawn, Luke burst into my bedroom. His shirt was untucked and he had smudged lipstick on his throat, but it was his eyes that caught me off guard. They were wild. Terrified. A man possessed.
"Luke?" I said hesitantly.
"It's my fault. It's my fault and I'm so sorry, Sang." He ran his hans through his hair. "I should have been there, not running off with, um..."
"A girl?"
"Yeah. I--I don't remember her name. But it doesn't matter, I'm not seeing her again. In fact, I'm done with women. No more. I can't be distracted."
"Luke, you don't have to do that."
"Yes, he does," Victor chimed in. He smirked like he was amused, but his eyes were on fire with anything but laughter.
"I promise I'll make it up to you, Sang."
"You're not the one that attacked me. Really, it's not your fault."
"Please, let me do this. How about I take you out? We can go to dinner. Whatever kind of food you want."
"Son of a bitch," Victor mumbled.
"What?" Certainly, I hadn't heard him correctly.
"The Cold Bitch," he said louder. "Despite it's name, it's an excellent cafe."
"They do have good sandwiches," Luke agreed. He winced. "But I--uh--know the owner's daughter."
"It's a shame they both ended up down here," I said, unsure of how else to respond.
"Not really. He named the restaurant after her."
"Ah."
"Sang," Victor said after a moment of awkward silence. "I also feel partially responsible for what happened. Maybe I should take you out sometime."
"Oh, that's really nice of you, but I don't blame either of you for what happened."
"I insist."
"I thought you didn't like to leave the house much," Luke said. He was tense like a wire ready to snap. "You can't stand the morals."
"I'm sure I can make an exception for Sang."
"Can you?"
"Oh!" I cut in. The tension was choking me. "I just remembered. I...I... have to go to the bathroom. Um, I like Italian food. So, yeah." I scurried off locked myself if the bathroom before either of them could say another word.
I looked in the mirror and sighed. What was wrong with them? I could hear muffed voices talking in harsh tones. At least I'd get to leave the manor a couple more times. A shudder ran through me. After tonight, though, I wasn't certain I wanted to leave the safety of the manor anytime soon.
When I came back out, they were both gone. I frowned. The room seemed too big without one of them there. I climbed into bed. It was cold without Kota in it. I groaned. They were growing on me, despite being literal demons.
I stared at the ceiling, picking out all its imperfections. Eventually, just as the sky turned a light gray, exhaustion pulled me into sleep.

When I woke up, there was a turkey sandwich on my dresser, accompanied by a note from Karen telling me how sorry she was about what happened to me. If I ever needed to talk, she was there. There was another note, from Gabriel, saying he wanted to come to my room this afternoon to talk about a thing. Whatever that meant.
