Song:  Banner (acoustic version) by LIGHTS

(this is one of my fave songs so definitely check it out, this song is so Charlie.)

Wednesday and Thursday consisted of me fiercely looking for the perfect dress to wear for whatever Harry had planned for us on Saturday. I devoured through racks and stores of the most expensive and fancy places and each time I would leave empty handed.

Not one dress had caught my eye. It seemed like every store had the same kind of dress; gaudy, ugly jewels, tight, and tacky. Whatever happened to elegance? I just want a simple dress, nothing overly fancy but still fancy and classy. I was about to give up on my search for the perfect dress and just settle something I or Lace already had, but that wasn't much.

That is until I Friday night when I was walking down a street of shops with Blake when I saw it hung on display . It was well after closing hours but once I saw it I knew I had to get it. Somehow we managed to convince the store owner to let us in after it being closed for 30 minutes. I consider even trying it on but knew I had to to make sure it fit properly.

I wasn't one for pink, but this pearl pink color was gorgeous. The ruffled floor length, v-neck neckline, and the spaghetti straps, had me sold and I practically rushed to try it on just so I could buy it quickly.

"That dress was insane on you. Harry is going to drool." Blake says as we leave with my happy purchase in hand.

I roll my eyes, "I'm just finally glad to find his dress and wear it tomorrow. Do you have any idea where he's taking me?"

"No clue and usually he tells me everything so this is weird."

I go over every possibility of where we would be going as I attempt to fall asleep. Lace has been out running erans all week. She, of course, bought a ridiculously expensive and overly fancy dress for that fraternity ball tomorrow. She even got a spray tan and other extremely unnecessarily makeovers to make sure she looked her best. She left early Saturday morning to probably retouch her spray tan or get her hair done so I hardly saw her at all.

My phone beeps loudly, waking me up from my sleeping coma.

I hope you're ready for tonight. A text from 'H' appears on my screen.

Can you just stop being secretive and tell me already? I reply.

I sit and anxiously wait for his reply with a huge smile on my face.

But that's the best part. He says.

I'll pick you up at seven he sends shortly after.

I glance at the time and decide to watch a couple movies to kill time. It's way too early to get ready but my excitement for tonight builds up as each hour passes and finally at 5:30 I jump in the shower. I dry my hair and follow instructions on "how to get the perfect updo". I leave a few pieces hanging at the front of my face to create a more loose effect and secure my high bun with a hair elastic.

Makeup was done in no time. I tried to mimic the look that the makeup lady have me one time but I ended up doing my own thing and being surprisingly pleased with the outcome.

As I was about to undress and put on my dress, my door knocks and I jump at the startling sound.

I open the door to a smiling Blake and welcome her in immediately.

"What are you doing here?" I smile.

"What you think I was gonna let you go without me helping you get ready. Although I see you started without me." She mocks a fake hurt and pulls me in for a hug.
