Lovestruck [ON HOLD]

Chapter 3

There she is, Melanie is on the floor passed out with blood all around her, she has bullet marks in both her legs and chest. I dropped my things and ran to her. She was breathing but unconscious, I dialled 000 and in about 10 minuets an ambulance arrived and picked up Melanie in a stretcher, I ask the med if I can ride with her and they agreed, I jumped in the ambulance and it headed to the hospital. I looked over to Melanie who had a gas mask on and was still unconscious, her heart was beating at a slow race, " hey Melanie, it's me Maddison you probably won't be able to hear me but I'm hear if you need me." I told her. We arrived at the hospital and I jumped out behind Melanie which she was strapped to a hospital bet with all different kinds of tubes and stickers pinned to her body to keep her heart going. I was told to wait in the waiting room while Melanie went in to the ICU. After about 3 hours she came out bandages and still unconscious, I went into the room that she was in and she looked horrible, after about half an hour watching her do nothing but breath I decided to head back to Uni since it was getting late and I had classes the next day. I called Michael to tell about him what happened but it only went to voicemail.

As I arrived I opened the door to my room and my jaw dropped again as I saw Michael sitting on the floor crying with his elbows on his knees and his face buried in his hands. "Michael what's wrong?" I ask him confused, he looks up at me and sobs " Melanie and I had a fight, and she told me that if I don't call her by 9:30 she will leave me." Michael exclaims "I couldn't call her because my phone went flat and when I came here all I saw was blood." He continued. " Mikey, I'm sure she didn't do that, I mean there wasn't a gun in the room where I found her, and she is still alive so I'm guessing someone else did it." I told Michael, he got up from the floor and gave me a big hug. I hugged him back and told him he will be alright. He thanked me and left, I decided to call Luke to tell him what happened as Michael is his best friend. "Maddie, what's wrong?" Luke's asks through the phone, "it's a long story but Melissa is in the hospital and Michael is really upset, I'm a bit stressed." I tell him. "Il be right over" he exclaims. I sighed and the a knock came to my door, I opened to see Luke standing their with his perfect blondish brown hair, and those sparkling blue eyes,

Luke walked in a gave me a hug. I told him everything that happened and he quickly called Michael to ask him if he was ok. After Luke was done on the phone I got a call from my best friend Harry Styles "hello?" I ask through the phone," "hey Mads!" Harry exclaims.

"How are you?"

"Good yourself"

"I'm good"

"How's the band?"

"Yea it's really good the boys and I are touring in London right now."

Harry is in a band called One Direction, they are amazing and his friends Niall, Louis, Liam and Zayn are his other band mates. They auditioned for X factor a few years ago and they have become a huge hit, harry and I have know each other from a young age as our mothers were best friends.

"I can't wait until you come to Australia" I say to him

"Yea me either" he replies

"Hey I have to go but il be back soon to talk ok!"

"Alright see ya!"

I ended the call with a smile and turned to Luke who was dazing of into space.

"Luke!" I snapped him out of his thoughts!

"Yeah, what happened!" He said shocked

"Nothing much it's like 1:00 am I'm getting a bit tired." I tell him

"Same do you mind if I stay the night here?" He asks

"Yea sure," I exclaim and pat the seat next to me on the bed.
Luke sits down and I tell him to wait their as I get up and make my way to the bathroom, I grabbed some old boxers and at shirt that is too big for me and give them to Luke. "How come you have these?" He asks while gesturing to the clothes, "I packed some just in case something like this happened." I replied, Ok well thanks," he replied. "You can either sleep in my bed or Melanie tonight," I question him, "il sleep in Mels but if I get cold I'm coming straight to yours!" He exclaimed I laughed
"What ever you say lover boy." And with my last comment I drifted to sleep,

*the next morning*

I woke up with the biggest headache, so I walked over to the bathroom to take some pain killers. I then headed to the shower, as I finish I wrap the towel around my body and open the bathroom door, I grab some clothes from the cupboard and go back into the the bathroom. As I finish changing I walk out to see Luke awake brushing his hair, "do you always bring a brush around everywhere you go?" I ask him whist giggling, "good morning to you too" he replies. I laugh I sit down next to him and he asks if we can go down to the cafeteria. I agree and he quickly runs to the bathroom to change and then we head out the door.

"So......." I ask Luke, as we make our way to the cafe.
I look up at him to see him opening his mouth then closing it again like he was going to say something, "what's wrong?" I ask him. He turns to face me and presses his lips together and glups, "Luke what is going on?" I ask him raising my voice a little bit. As I turn around to see what Luke was looking at I regret looking as I lock eyes with my long lost enemy...... Justin..
